Reviews for Vintage Chophouse & Wine Bar in Petoskey, MI

I want to leave an honest review. We read the reviews and most of them were positive reviews. The prices for food are very high... but we figured if it's good food then the price is well worth it, it definitely was not. We ordered the crab cakes as anappetizer, they were very good, the homemade bread was very good as well. Our entrées were extremely disappointing, weordered the Ribeye steak and the New York strip steak, both ordered medium rare along with the risotto as a side. The ribeye wascooked perfectly but extremely under-seasoned and it tasted ok, definitely not a steak you would expect for over $60, the newyork strip was over cooked, very dry and tough, it had a good sweet sauce on the top but the steak itself was also lacking inseasoning, again not a good cut of meat for the price. Our waiter was polite but not very attentive and i am someone who likesmy food dropped off, my drinks filled and that's really all I expect from wait staff, our drinks were not refilled once and wewere unable to let him know about our steak bc he did not stop by until a while after our food was dropped off. The risotto wasok but honestly tasted like it came from a box kit you would by from the supermarket. Usually I read bad reviews from arestaurant that has a lot of positive reviews and just figure the people were picky, but our dinner was very disappointing;maybe the other entrées are better but I would definitely not order any steaks from here. Had to wait 45 minutes + for a drink. Very pricey and in my opinion you are paying for the view. Help is friendly, but doesn?t... act proactively to help you have a good experience. Average restaurant with poor service and decent food. Read more

Had a lovely dinner with my elderly mother at this upscale waterfront dining venue. We were late to our reservation because we... took the wrong directions but Otto the host, a kind gentleman with a welcoming smile, saved us the best seat in the house. Great dining experience along with an amazing sunset view! Food was exceptional. Highly recommend the Wild Mushroom Flatbread... appetizer. Wild Mushroom Bisque was fantastic. Filet was perfect with the Mushroom Ragout and Demi-Glaze. Entire Staff wasattentive and pleasant. Our server, Andrew, did a great job! Read more

If you are looking to spend money on food just to spend money on food it's pretty good. The sides are way bigger than I thought... it was gonna be considering the scale of the restaurant. Was a far better choice to blow money of food than going to aBrazilian steak house that's for sure! Steak was cooked right and the cuts were delicious! Read more

Highly disappointed in our service for the cost of this place. Our waiter had to take our order twice because he wasn?t paying... attention, tried to order drinks multiple times but they were never brought. The food was okay but my favorite part was when ourwaiter was more concerned with getting a girls phone number at the bar than providing customer service. Read more
