Okay so Golden Chick's Wicked Wings are beYOND delicious, hands probably the best I'm the fast food BUSINESS! If you love Juicy,... spicey crispy wings, GO HERE! Now for this particular restaurant, reason for the 3 stars in service is because of the wait dueto the lack of employee. May not be exactly there fault but atleast keeping someone in the front so they can take orders and nothave customers waiting for literally 5 to 10 minutes just place an order.. I haven't yet experienced that in other wellfunctioning restaurants that also lacking employees. The place is remodeled and looks and feels great! Country music, so just aheads up if you are choosing to eat inside and don't like that style. Though I find it fitting for Texas! Lol Price has gone upon foods, but only due to the times not greed, because it is still not alot. You're talking for two people about 25$. This place might be decent if the people making the food could understand basic modifications. Asked for no sauce on my... sandwiches and when they arrived they were both drowning in their "special" mayonnaise. This isn't the first time they have mademy order inedible, I will never return here. Read more
I couldn't wait for the wicked wings to finally be available in the Austin area. I ordered fresh wicked wings and they got made... to order but I can definitely tell they skipped the marination process ???????????.I hope they follow the recipe the next time.I've visited multiple locations in Houston and they never disappoint.. golden chick has a great menu if cooked correctly..please remind the staff that the ice cream is free for paying customers.they attempted to charge me. Ps it's not a good look foremployees to eat in front of customers while they work in kitchen. Read more
I ate there yesterday. The staff is nice but they are expensive and they left the tartar sauce out when I ordered the... catfish How can you eat fish without the tartar sauce. I live too far away to go back which made it very frustrating. Alsothe cole slaw was bland. I love their jalapeno poppers though. Read more
The tenders here are always fantastic and I've yet to receive any that seem to be "old" or "cooked hours ago". The rolls are... amazing and everyone in the family is a huge fan of their sweet tea! The only MINOR complaint (which doesn't merit the loss ofa star, imo) is the physical location of the building relative to the surrounding land - The restaurant is built next to asteep grade that makes getting in and out of the location a bit challenging, especially during peak business hours. Got a chicken tender family meal (16p, 2 large sides, and 4 rolls). Good fry on the chicken. Light and crispy. Seasoned nicely.... Not super salty. A plus. Had some skin only parts. But let's be honest, the skin is what people love. Actually really good. Ihaven't had this since I was a kid, so I don't remember it really. Loved the rolls, the gravy, and the potatoes. The staff was perfectly polite. My order was partially correct. I was told to pull around the front and wait 5 minutes for my... order, after 10 minutes I had to go inside and request my food. At that point, my order was walked over to me from the kitchen.When I ate, I found that the spicy wings had zero spice. They were delicious, but not what I ordered. UPDATE: 11/03/22 I madeanother trip to this location. There were more people at the restaurant this time than there were before and yet somehow theservice was much faster. I did not have to go inside to ask for my order nor did I have to park in the front to wait. Servicefrom the staff was great. My order was correct, I have no complaints. Thank you. Read more
