The absolute BEST spot to come to for Jamaican food. I?ve eaten here so many times since I moved to Austin. The service is... 10/10, the quality of the food is 10/10, the attentiveness and responsiveness is 10/10. I love this place so much that theycatered my birthday party and literally everything I ordered was gone within a couple of hours. Very very delicious food that also offers halal meat! The jerk chicken is juicy, smoky and soft. Compliments the rice very well.... The oxtail is fatty, tasty and very juicy. The Patties are also very different from others. Curried flavor and worth trying.Can?t wait to visit again. Read more

This truck is amazing. The food was the best Jamaican and most authentic I?ve ever had. That?s just the food though. Went there... with my 5 kids and the owners/family were just the best. Service was top notch and made us feel like we were apart of theirwonderful family. Also because the mom that cooked my daughters whole fish came and sat with us for about an hour and justtalked and told us her story of getting to Texas. Friday night Jamaican dining experience at K/Q food truck was delightful. The jerked chicken was moist and the red snapper was... tasty. Came here last Sunday to get a plate as I was craving Caribbean food. Even though their hours says open at 12pm, they weren't... even ready to serve customers so we had to wait for over 45 min. For that I took a star away. I think if you advertise you openat a certain time you should be ready for business at said time. Food was great. I had the red snapper plate. It was a wholefish! Rice was soft, steamed vegetables was very flavorful. The chicken and beef patties are great too. Be warned, they are veryfilling. This is definitely one of the best places I?ve ever tried for Jamaican food. The portions were a lot more than what I thought I... would get for the price, and yet the quantity did not take away from the quality. The jerk chicken was hot straight off thebarbecue and had the most delicious flavor! The steamed veggies gave me the sensation of happiness and love, to the point whereI had to go back and order seconds. Oh, and THE PLANTAINS! I cannot speak high enough of just how amazing those were. The onlyreason I didn?t add photos was because it was too good to stop. One thing I HIGHLY recommend is getting some of their Jamaicansodas. I?m a HUGE FAN of Ginger beers and brews, and their Jamaican brand ginger beer was definitely in my top 3.
