JP & I were very disappointed in the food. Also, the wait time for (the already pre-prepared large batch foods) was too long and... lacked seasoning. Because the black beans, charro beans, and rice are cooked in large batches, then reheated and served all daylong is the number one reason we CANN????T recommend this restaurant. If they change this, I'll update my review. This wasconfirmed by our waiter. I ordered the fajita shrimp plate, but my rice was dry and overcooked, and my veggies were tootomato-based, and so were my charro beans. JP ordered "El Gordo" the quail and pork chop plate, which were seasoned well; exceptfor the black beans which had N???? season at all. But JP said, "It's N????T enough meat for the price and for men; and it wasover cooked and dry." I did N????T enjoy my strawberry daiquiri. Maybe it's bc I haven't had a daiquiri in over 20 years; and itwas too strong. However, we did enjoy the chips and salsa: a green yogurt-based salsa and a spicy red salsa. The starters plusfunny waiter, made me reconsider "??", and give them ????. We (I) would like to go back. Correction: JP says, "Nope!" So, thatmeans we're N????T returning! Zero???? stars from JP. The food was great! The service not so much! The we had tried to do her best. I can?t blame the server for anything. She?s only... been there about a month. She?s on her own trying to do her best I don?t know if it was the fact that her trainer didn?t trainher well. Or if she just doesn?t have what it takes to be in the food service industry. I?m not knocking her for her actionsthis see evening. Personally I know I could?ve done a better job than what she did this evening. I think that the manager orowners of this particular restaurant need to come up with a better training strategy for their new personnel. Very good atmosphere nice aesthetics better than average Tex Mex. I always love getting the carne guisada here The ribs the... enchiladas and the waiters are very considerate. First time dining at this establishment. The ambiance and decor is pretty unique. The chips and salsas were good. We especially... enjoyed the green sauce - an avocado salsa, maybe? The red salsa was just spicy enough, and delicious. The food was quitealright, but a bit more bland than expected. I had the chile relleno with ground beef, and I added some of the red salsa on topfor some extra flavor. I ordered charro beans, and was served refried. No biggie, we just asked again for the charro - but itnever arrived. Our server wasn?t super attentive, but she was kind and sweet. Most likely she was a little stressed, andpossibly overworked (as the restaurant business seems to be these days, anyway).
