Good pizza option in the Pflugerville area. We used to live in Pflugerville and had been gone for 5 years before coming back... for a visit. A nostalgic place for our kiddos is Russo's so we decided to have an early dinner while exploring our oldneighborhood. We had a very nice server and the overall atmosphere is good. The pizza is pretty darn good. My kids rememberand love the giant slice so both had their own and easily polished them off. My wife and I shared the Prosciutto & Fig; greatflavors. The only downside during this meal was Austin was topping at 107F and the A/C was struggling to keep up with the tempso it was quite warm inside...but that was a problem many places were having during that heat wave. We were referred to try this restaurant by a server in an adjacent restaurant the day before. My husband was eager to try the... restaurant after a long day of military drilling with early morning starts. We drove through Friday evening traffic from anearby surburb passing many other restaurant options including those there in the StoneHill shopping complex. Although ourserver was kind and apologetic, they seemed very inexperienced in having the ability to take initiative and communicate withtheir staff. After we ordered our pasta that would be a single dish without accompanying sides, we asked if bread is availablewhile placing the order. We were advised that after 5pm is their busiest time, so they were out of bread at the time that theyare aware will be the busiest for them daily. We were also told they were short staffed with only one cook who is able to makebread although others with aprons were in the kitchen area that can't assist. Keep in mind that this is a restaurant that makespizza, which is bread with toppings that customers were ordering and receiving. We asked if we can get the bread with the mealwhen it's available since we have to wait for the meal to be served. The server said they would "try" to serve it with the meal.4 individuals who arrived at the same time as us received their full meal of various meal varieties while we continued to waiton our lasagna 30 minutes later as we did not order other appetizers and there were no complimentary substitutes. The serversaid they would check on the bread's cooking time status, but could never provide any time estimate to us making us questionwhether they were asking the cook at all. 2 individuals next to us arrived at the same time as us ordered bread & received itrather quickly within 10 min with their full meal being delivered within 30 min that included pasta. I asked how thoseindividuals were able to get bread since they were supposed to be out of it at the time of both of our arrivals whil Read more

We had spaghetti and meatballs, mushroom tortellinis, and garlic bread. I didn't try the spaghetti, but I was told it was... tasty. We're big fans of Maggianos until one day they changed their recipe of their tomato sauce, so we wanted to find a newItalian place. Russo's was around the same price just without the take-home pastas. I could eat that mushroom tortellini allday, but I'm still only at 4 stars because we spent $37 for two adults to eat dinner and takeout. Read more

When we arrived, someone pointed at the menus for us to grab from the host?s desk and to sit wherever we want. We were also told... to go back to the cash register and place our order. We ordered a the Truffle and Mushroom Pizza which clearly states that itcomes with fresh Arugula (but none were on it). The tray that it came on was dirty and had sticky mush at the bottom of it. Wealso asked for the Calamari appetizer that was just given to us without any plates (tasted old). When asked for plates we werepointed to the host?s table for plates, napkins and plastic wear. 20min later i felt an awful stomach pain and headed to thebathroom which was the most disgusting bathroom i have ever been to. To summarize, the food was bad, the service was bad, thegeneral hygiene was bad?. Read more

2nd Time ordering and I honestly don?t see myself eating any other pizza! The flavor is ?this is what pizza should taste like?... and the bread is so tender yet crispy. Today we tried the Italian Market Pizza and the Eggplant Parmesan. So good! Their largepizza is definitely bigger than other pizza places but the cost is more. Worth it though! Read more

Ordered for delivery a large mulberry pizza which is Italian sausage, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon. Burger was substituted for... much of the Italian sausage and the pepperoni and Canadian bacon sparse. I?ve ordered this pizza several times and this one didnot measure up to the others. So back to papa johns! At least I get what I paid for. The burger is dark colored and the Italiansausage light brown. Read more

First off the food here was absolutely amazing. Everything was piping hot and very flavorful. This is the only reason I am... giving the restaurant 4 stars. Sadly the staff here did a terrible job. They forgot part of our order and we had to ask twiceto get our appetizers to our table well after we were served our dinner. They refilled our drinks once only because we askedand had to walk over to get it done. Maybe it was an off night or maybe they were under staffed. I would definitely give itanother try because of how good the food tasted. Read more
