Their sandwiches and steaks use to be incredible... not sure why they switched bread to Sarcones, that bread is garbage compared... to Aversas bread that they use to use here. What a shame, last time I'll be ordering from here. The rolls are like rubber. Disgusting. Read more
I arrived in Philly and had to wait for my partner to pick me up (who got lost using GPS and it was freezing cold outside). I... was in the mood for a Philly Cheesesteak and wanted a high quality one. Since Philadelphia is the land of cheesesteaks you haveto do your due diligence and research to find the best spots to attain one.. This establishment is located directly off thesuper busy S Broad Street highway next door to an Exxon gas station. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with whiz, fried onionsand mayo. It was absolutely incredible! The ribeye they use is top notch. Juicy and tender.. A 5 out of 5! I highly recommendthat if you order a quality Philly Cheesesteak to order it when you're able to start eating it within the first five minutes;when it's hot and at its best quality. I have a whole new appreciation for the flat steak society. Traditionalists will lovethis place. Nice Liscio?s roll and a thicker slice of steak. I got mine chopped. Nice chop. Mine needed more cheese andbetter cheese melt. I wish the mushrooms spent more time on the grill. This is good steak and I think a nice sauteed mushroomwill really enhance the flavor of it. Read more
This was my first time trying this place out. My gfs mechanic is right next door so we figured why not. Now I'll start off by... saying I didn't eat on the spot we drove home after picking up which is roughly 20+ minutes. However, I must say I was verypleased and my only regret was not eating it at it's hottest point. The ribeye is definitely that of quality. Meat 5/5! We got 2cheesesteaks chopped with extra cheese and fried onions with a side of fries. I enjoyed that the chopped wasn't super fine andthat there were still nice bite size chunks. Cheese steaks were phenomenal. The only reason I deducted a star was because thefries were the complete opposite. They were terrible. Oh and the staff was very friendly.
