I was visiting a friend in Philly driving down from NY and before heading back home I wanted to eat something and had the middle... eastern craving. Going off the reviews for this location as of late you would think things weren’t going to be alright becauseyou read the reviews and many had complained that the service wasn’t up to par and a few complaints about the quality havinggone down or the pricing having gone up. Not only was the food tasty, the service was up to par and that’s with me callingthis place in rush hour dinner time and the person who answered the phone was gracious enough to spend time telling me of thefavorites on the menu. I took it to go (had a mix that consisted of kofta, chicken kebab and lamb gyro) and evidenced by mypictures I scraped the plate clean. A hearty mixed grill that could’ve fed 2 and a glass Coca Cola cost me $21 dollars and tome that was actually really fair especially with inflation as it is in 2022. Give this place a try! Read more
We don’t even have pictures of everything we ordered because we devoured it within 5 seconds. The meat was juicy and... succulent, the pizza cheese was still oozing cause it was that rash out the oven, the spice was perfect. Even the bread was softand toasty with the perfect soft inside. They have reg tables to take a quick bite at and also a nice dinning section that’s more quite. I got lamb with rice. The lamb... was delicious and I love the little slither of fat on it. The lamb were cut like 3 inch big. Very delicious Read more
I went to Al-Sham on Bustleton Avenue for the first time two nights ago because I had a craving for a samon steak. It was an... amazing sandwich, the salmon was nicely chopped and soft.The bread was perfect and the fried onions and hot peppers set it offperfectly! I will be returning soon...even driving from NJ. This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious, but the price is very reasonable compared to their high-quality... food and overall service. The staff is super friendly and polite. I do not eat meat which makes it very hard to find a goodrestaurant with an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes. Therefore, I find this restaurant a great place for vegetariansand, of course, if you're a meat lover. My favorite dishes are: - Grilled salmon with brown rice - Vegetarian omelet - Greekvegetarian pizza. - humus I highly recommend it! Read more
