Amazing experience & meal! Wanted to try some where new and some browsing on Youtube led me to pause the video, zoom to make out... the sign in the backround that read: Alma Del Mar ~ Soul ????of the Sea ???? The menu is a 'quick read' and absolutelyEvery-Aah-thing looks phenomenal. Lobster Eggs Benedict will be depending on ???? availability. The Crab Eggs???? Benedict wereserved as one would expect: On a toasted english muffin with hollandaise but it rested atop avocado ???? slices!! Along withcholulas on the table it sent this amazing Dish to the ???? & Back w/my taste buds along for the ride!! The courtyard wasn'topen due to rain & cold, but the rest of the establishment was inviting and warm as the welcome I received upon entering andevery so often during my meal. Just as the check arrived 6Action News Showed up to do a story HERE for Hispanic heritage Month. So in honor of those roots & traditions I will attempt to close with a phrase in Español Mucho Gusto y muchas gracias por lacomida para mi Alma de MI estomacho y mi???? corazone ???? My daughter and I stopped in for lunch, lured by the promise of a refreshing seafood lunch on a hot day of shopping in and... around the Italian Market. We were so glad we did! The items we shared were the greens and seafood salad, the calamari tacosand the ceviche anticuchera. The seafood in all dishes was generously portioned and fresh as can be. Each dish wasthoughtfully composed and the sauces, dressings and seasonings were distinct, bright, and punchy while complementing andhighlighting the fresh and tender shrimp and octopus and farm fresh vegetables. We came hungry and left full and satisfied. The ceviche was a meal in itself, served with homemade tortilla chips to scoop up every drop of the delicious guajillo and anchochili marinade. The hibiscus tea was refreshing as well. Alma was a lovely hostess and we enjoyed sitting in the colorful andbreezy patio space. We will definitely return so that we can try the other delicious looking items on the menu. Read more

Atmosphere is awesome. There was live music! Colorful decor. Coffee is really good. Fresh orange juice went well with our... champagne (byob). Guacamole and chips was great to start. Food didn't take long to come out. Molletes was good, but there was alot of bread. Tres leches pancakes were sweet and fruity. Seafood birria soup was good, but very fishy. Huevos Rancheros review:"Absolutely delicious, the flavors were rich with a bit of a spicy kick...just how I like! The only issue was the chips at thebottom were soggy from the stewed chicken, but get you a side of chips and you'll be fine. Definitely coming back for this!" Read more

Wonderful Mexican joint in the heart of the Italian market. Alma is also the name of the owner and they celebrated their 2nd... anniversary of the restaurant and I was fortunate to have attended that celebration The food and drinks are excellent and to behonest we were curious why they don’t charge more because the quality and quantity of the food is phenomenal and generous! They treat you with a warmth and kindness like family and it get like a local get together in a magical far off land! They havelive music on Saturday afternoons from 12-2 as well. Must check it out! Highly recommend this delicious, welcoming spot in the Italian Market section of Philly. This was our second time coming for... brunch. You walk into a bright and colorful space, it’s like a little oasis from the hustle & bustle of the market outdoors. My husband and I shared the huevos rancheros, ceviche anticuchera, and the wild strawberry juice (pineapple/strawberry/mango).Everything is so fresh and full of flavor! It’s BYOB and the freshly made selection of juices make for easy mixing options foryour favorite alcoholic beverages! Owner and chef Alma is such a joy, filled with positivity, hard work ethic, and clearly hasthe gift of creating food and beverages that please the palate. She was running around working nonstop while we were there, butwas generous enough to take a break and share a beverage and some conversation with us. What a great experience, we willdefinitely be back! Please support this wonderful small business! Read more

What a lovely and unexpected little find right in the gritty heart of Philadelphia's famous Italian market. Run by a local... family that used to be in the fish business, so they know their fish and prepare it well. The biggest surprise was how well theydid healthy foods. My avocado toast was flavorful, elegantly prepared, and the ingredients were first class including anexcellent full grain bread. My son had a stack of pancakes that looked like a birthday cake, beautifully presented. The outdoordining is the ticket in this place although there are some seats indoors. Read more

Charming little hole in the wall with absolutely delicious food! My group got a mix of breakfast and lunch meals, and everyone... was more than happy. I had the best french toast of my LIFE (strawberry filled) and my friend said he got the best huevosrancheros he's ever had. There was live music when we went which really added to the atmosphere. Would definitely go again????????????. Oh and it's BYOB. Read more

What a lovely place. Service was excellent. We arrived at 7:30 and she invited us with arms wide open to sit and eat even though... they closed at 8. The food was amazing. The asada tacos was so juicy. 3 tacos felt like 6 tacos worth of food. The chips andsalsa Verde tasted so fresh. The Jamaica and horchata juice came out in gigantic mason jars! This will be our spot now for foodin this area. The other menu items also sounded so tasty. The outdoor looks like it would be a great place for a good group. It's large and you won't feel on top of each other. Read more
