Among the best Philadelphia restaurants - though the tasting could benefit from greater pacing and an end-of-meal treat (WILL... BYOB did Madeleine's, Eleven Madison Park does granola, Vespertine does a custom perfume, etc.). Other than these two comments,Ambra is a spectacular experience worth revisiting at least twice. Inventive and creative modern Italian cuisine. Tasting menu only. Instead of the offered wine pairing (which would have been too... much wine for us) the sommelier suggested two wines to accompany our meal and that was perfect for us. I?ve seen other reviewstalking about the small portion size. True, but believe me, after six courses of small plates we were extremely full. I couldbarely finish. The price for two, with wine (2 glasses each) was about $280. Expensive, but, in my opinion, worth it for aspecial occasion. Service was impeccable. Kudos. Read more
