Pleasantly surprised. As this was my first time visiting I gave the initial greeting a pass. I've passed this spot many times... and was grateful for the opportunity to finally see if Butter has the Butter. I ordered a ribs, macaroni and cheese, andcandied yams platter. Again, I'm often hesitant to share about soul food spots as it can depend on the day but today Butters wason. Everything was good, the ribs tender, Mac and cheese was cheese and the yams were just right. From reviews others thoughtthe platter was small, I think the portion was just right. This was my first time here with The Golden Girls. The tea was very good. Thank you. I was surprised that the food was warm and... not hot. I guess you use take out containers all the time? Cornbread was good. We waited an hour for our food. So the group wasready to go when the food came. The employees were very courteous. My beef short ribs had a lot of fat!!!! My greens were salty and greasy and they gave my terrible indigestion!! He forgot our... corn bread!! The chicken wing and breast were fried with BBQ sauce not actual BBQ chicken. The cabbage was uncooked and spicy,the Mac & cheese was nasty!!! The only good items are lemon cake and candied yams.
