We waited an hour for our food. They said that they would call, but after a half-hour, we didn?t hear anything, so we went to... check. We waited in the rain for another half-hour, and she accommodated my complaint about the wait time by throwing a bag ofFamous Amos cookies in and waving goodbye. We got chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits. This was my first experience at Champs Diner. The food is bland. I had the beef hot sausage,eggs, waffle & a side of 4cheese... grits. The waffle was ok. Would have been better if they provided me with syrup. Everything else was average. The grits were notwhat I was expecting at all. No flavor.
