We waited an hour for our food. They said that they would call, but after a half-hour, we didn?t hear anything, so we went to... check. We waited in the rain for another half-hour, and she accommodated my complaint about the wait time by throwing a bag ofFamous Amos cookies in and waving goodbye. We got chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits. I?m not even going to mention what waswrong with the order, just the disrespect alone was enough to make me never return. $37.25 for food that was decent, but notgreat. Read more

This was my first experience at Champs Diner. The food is bland. I had the beef hot sausage,eggs, waffle & a side of 4cheese... grits. The waffle was ok. Would have been better if they provided me with syrup. Everything else was average. The grits were notwhat I was expecting at all. No flavor. This is my first time in Philly with my homegirl. She use to go here a lot, so we decided to have breakfast here. We could not... sit in, still closed due to Covid. Customer service was great!!! Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the crab cake, egg, andgrits. The crab cake was salty. I could not eat both of them. So I?m disappointed in that. Also sorry I didn?t take a picture ofmy plate. But the real fruit punch was very good and I got a picture of all the fruit they put in my cup!!! Read more

I often go to the hair salon on Cecil B Moore and when I do...I stop for breakfast at Champs. Always good - fast- service and... never had an issue with the food. Got a BLT this time and it was a quick delicious breakfast. They gave me a generous amount ofbacon. Most places I usually have to order EXTRA bacon which can come out kind of expensive, buy it was just enough. Stop infor your breakfast orders! Read more
