Where can you go to find good food...I mean REALLY good food...but also kick back in a relaxing atmosphere full of great,... down-to-earth people? It can be hard to find both. But the Taproom in Chestnut Hill is a surprise for Philly foodies everywhere:a crossover of all the best things a local hangout spot should be. A space with a fun design (just check out the coolbathrooms), a bar and restaurant that's equal parts intimate and fun, with locally-brewed beer, a menu with a little somethingfor everyone (wood-fired pizzas, plant-powered options, pasta, you name it!) I love coming to the Taproom. It has a more intimate, upscale, and chic vibe than the beer garden or market eating space. It is... perfect for a cozy dinner among friends or a romantic date. The space is beautiful and looks as though it belongs in a hipdowntown neighborhood, but instead it is right here in Chestnut Hill! It is also nice to get some delicious food, other thanpizza. Although the pizza is still all available there, the I enjoy trying their more gastropub style options, like the grilledcheese, a salad, and of course their dessert. One of my new favorite spots for a beer and a bite to eat! Waited way too long to give this place a try, but now that I have, I... am hooked! As a beer-loving vegan, this place feels like a dream come true for me! The number of plant-based menu items is soluxurious, and the quality of the food is top notch! The forager pizza with an array of tasty mushrooms and black garlic aiolihas become a point of food obsession in my household, and all the small plates are just exactly the kind of satisfying comfortfood that you want to be munching on paired with a flight of beer.
