Sticky buns need to be made with BUTTER! I am so disappointed! Denise's has definitely been skimping on the old family recipe.... I previously loved this place. But the last time i purchased a cake from their it grew mold after being frozen, just less than a... week after getting it. I bought the cake, sliced and put in the freezer, when i took out a slice four days later it had blackspots throughout. This can only mean that they are baking and freezing there cakes before they sell them to you. Because thereis no reason a freshly baked cake should mold that soon! Read more

6/3/22 UPDATE: I really hope they can find some new cashiers. The wait is so long. And God forbid someone in front of you has to... place an order, you might as well pull up a chair and get comfortable. They needed to discount the sweet potato pies todaybecause they were all burnt! I did buy some of my favorite glazed donuts today, which are always yummy! UPDATE: everything isstill delicious of course. the only issue is they need more cashiers. the wait is too long. everything is delicious & the newrestaurant looks great! it's bright & inviting. Very poor experience, and poor customer service. Ordered my cake on line, two weeks in advance for a 10:30 am pick up. I... arrive to the store at noon, cake is not ready. I had to wait 45 minutes for a cake that looks like they threw it together. Cake was for a sweet 16 party.. I could have done a better job with the decorations, and they call themselves professionals. Then to top it off, I had to ask to speak to the manger to even get some type of credit for my inconvenience, and all I got wasa lousy $15 refund on a a cake that cost over $75. I've been going to Denise's bakery for over 20 years and this is The BEST Strawberry Shortcake Ever ???????? I would leave out... early from home to get a slice before going to school or get a slice afterwards. Even after that horrible fire, this recipe andall the other goodies STILL taste the same...... The cakes are delicious! Ebt works every now and then. They typically get large orders correct. Staff is friendly.
