Today, I was very disappointed with one of the favorite Dunkin places at 40th & Ludlow. The eatery has changed hands. But I ... was happy to see that after the long wait because of Covid, they have finally replaced their seating for indoor dining. So myhusband and I got our donuts and coffee and sat a while. Upon leaving, I went to the counter to ask if I could use theladies room. The manager says to me, "it's only for customers." I tell him I am and he repeats the same words. And I repeatmine. As it becomes obvious he doesn't believe me I point to the table where my husband was still sitting with our empty cups,"see", I say. But the owner/manager begins to walk away. I signal to my husband to bring the cups to the counter, at whichpoint the man finally buzzes me in, shouting go!" At which point, I lost my patience and told him he was a jackass! Had he notbeen so nasty I would have remembered my receipt in my handbag and showed to him. I have been going to this Dunkin for fouryears and never been so insulted. The previous manager and staff were very nice, considerate people. Needless to say, I willbe buying my refreshments elsewhere from now on. And, while I'm not someone who always assumes a black on white issue, in thisfor instance I have every reason to believe it was. I am a black woman who is very sadden by this experience. Read more
I don't write reviews and specifically not any negative but this place is worst. The employee working are very bad. I asked for... a bagels and he just gave them without even cream cheese and when I said that I asked them with cream cheese and he was like itis not "free" and I said I know i can pay for that. Then the cashier started cursing in his language but he did not know that Ican understand him. Read more
I asked for one holder for when coffee hot, rudely said We don't have the coffee is not hot,ok what about a larger cup...I'll... pay stated.He handed me the cup,also I asked another employee for a stopper so the coffee would spill, very short we don't have.It's too early in the am for that kind of customer serviceand All I wanted was coffee . The customer service is good. I never had an issue with the employees; they were super nice. My issue is with the donuts. I got... the apple crumb donut and it tasted off, like chemicals. I know D&D isn't a gourmet donut shop with all natural ingredients, butthe taste was really off putting and overpowering. It didn't seem to belong in the donut, and I thought maybe it caught thetaste of some other product on the shelf. Another time I tried their pumpkin donuts. I couldn't eat them because they tastedlike smoke. It was weird...but it kind of had a liquid smoke/bbq taste to it. Again, very strange and unpleasant. Other donutstasted fine and regular; like the sour cream donut was good, the Boston kreme tasted fine from what I remember. But I wouldn'ttrust to get donuts from this location again. Read more
This Dunkin gets my order wrong EVERY SINGLE DAY (straight up forgetting things I order AND pay for.) I order on the app and... they ALWAYS forget something. They have more than enough people working in the back and yet there is NO organization as far aswho is taking care of what. They need new employees who pay attention. Late night is best time to go. The staff are awesome ,friendly and courteous. On a personal note I had left my wallet and... cellphone , by the time I realized it was there 3 hours had went by .As soon as I walked in the store the guy said he had mywallet and phone . The most amazing part nothing was touched all my cash was accounted for and they even gave me a free coffee .My new favorite D&D . Love this place , I'm a customer for life . Read more
