I thought this place was pretty average. The location is cool and there was a lot of place to sit and chill with friends. I was... not very impressed by their beers. The IPAs were just ok but nothing really stood out. One of the bar-backs also kept passinggas which was disgusting…. Read more

Can't believe I haven't checked out this place before. Not only is the name really cool, but the drinks and the food were... delicious as well. I actually had a hot cocktail and normally breweries kinda have meh cocktails since that's not what peopleusually go for.. but in this case it was awesome. Also the service was very quick and the outdoor area is fun and good for agroup to hang out. Would recommend the Mac and cheese and jalapeño popper grilled cheese for food! Read more

This was my first time at Evil Genius Beer Company . The vibe is very chill.. the food was okay. I had the $1 tacos on Thursday.... It was the first Thursday selling tacos for this special. The tacos didn’t come with cheese, so be sure to request it. Thetacos were kind of bland. I had to use hot sauce to add some flavor. The staff were friendly. No complaints with that. The womanwith the dreads made my margarita perfectly. She was sweet. The music was a cool, they played a host of songs. This is theperfect place for a quick bite, and for the beer lovers. They had a variety of beer flavors on tap and in the can. Definitely amust try if you enjoy a nice cold brew. Read more

Visited Evil Genius finally after living in Philly for a few years now. Came out to try their sour beer focused event which was... fun! The beer garden was a little small for the event and more shade would have been appreciated, but the sours were great.Afterwards we tried out the normal tap room and was impressed with the vibes inside. Will likely come back to try more beers. Read more

Cool, airy spot with good beer and big screens to watch the Champions League Final. It was pretty empty when I came at 3:30pm on... a Sat but gradually filled up. They also have a lot of board games and big tables for big groups. Nice outdoors area too, butwithout screens. Read more

I was disappointed because there were no sours at the time of my visit but this brewery came highly recommended by a ton of... people , awesome vibe and environment, very nice set up , plenty of seating and the staff were so awesome and attentive, customer service is big for me and they were great this Sunday evening , decent amount of beer choices and they do rotate therestock so , they should be getting a sour in soon I’ll definitely go back and try it just because of my experience with thestaff the first time super cool place definitely worth a try , they also have a kitchen , I didn’t get anything Sunday butwill give them a try when I stop in again Read more

One of the coolest venues for a brewery. Nerd and pop culture paradise. Where else can you watch 1980s transformers and Seinfeld... at a bar? They have (had?) retro video games to play and every beer name is a reference to some movie, show or meme. Yesssssssthat's the Christopher Walken cooler... Get it? ???? They do really fun beer and they're overall very enjoyable. Food optionsare limited which is ok! They specialize in beer. It's mostly snacks/apps like pretzels. Parking could be better but that'slike legit the only complaint. Read more

First off...I love the area where they're located (Fishtown) secondly, the staff is wonderful--they even managed to keep a smile... when the overly friendly stranger sitting next to me continuously mis-pronounced their names, even after she asked them severaltimes. And for every act she displayed that only someone truly inebriated would think was okay...the staff/servers still werepolite & helpful to her. (She thankfully tipped them well--I only know because I had to help her close her bar tab). Theatmosphere-I loved it. Quirky meets trendy-meets-industrial...maybe that should be reversed. It's like an industrial buildingwith lofty ceilings was taken over, revamped using reclaimed & repurposed items with interspersed comfy seating throughout andthen the quirky cartoons painted on some of the walls. I loved all of it. The beers I love stout beers-and they have severalto choose from. My go-to when I buy their beers in a store is "Stacy's Mom" but now I think I have a new one. Number 7 Read more
