CASH ONLY : this a great brunch/dinner location in center city. Usually there?s a line outside, but the restaurant does a good... job with turning over tables, so the wait time is 10-15 minutes only. The menu is full of creative and exotic drinks and food.There are so many great breakfast items like pancakes/french toast made with unique ingredients. I loved the crumble frenchtoast, it was a overdose of sweetness. The plate just looked stunning, filled with strawberries, blueberries, creme brûlée andice cream. All comes together and creates one hell of a breakfast feast. The guacamole and pepper Benedict was also good. Softand yummy fries, fresh avocado, perfectly cooked egg. This was my first time ever eating at a Green Eggs Cafe and I was blown away. The food was fresh and it was hot. The staff were... amazing everyone had smiles and everyone was willing to help. It was a little busy when we went in (around 12pm for reference)and we were seated promptly. The price wasn't bad both my friend and I spent 16 dollars on our dishes and for the portion sizesthe price is good in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend and would eat at again. Read more
This place is adorable and the drinks and food are delicious. I have to note that portions are very big, the red velvet pancakes... in particular.. I was not prepared for that at all lol this item alone could probably feed 5+ people. To go boxes are available.The shrimp and grits were delicious and so well seasoned. Really great food, and so many options to select from. The service was excellent. Everyone serves you, so the customer service... wasn?t lacking. This is a cash only establishment, so make sure you stop at your bank before hand to avoid an ATM fee. Howeverif you don?t they do have an atm inside for your convenience ! My husband ordered the kitchen sink the portions were huge !! Hewas able to take half of it home for later I ordered the avocado and pepper Benedict with rosemary potatoes. Overall it wasreally good. My only comment would be the rosemary was very strong, so if you?re not a fan I would suggest something else. Read more
My daughter recommended we go here when I brought her back to her dorm at U Arts. Don't let the line outside deter you because... it moves fast. I had the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese that came in a skillet. It was delicious. Next time I want to go earlierin day for a breakfast option as everything that went past my table made mouth water. We had to wait in a short line to get in but thankfully the line moved quickly. The food was great and so was the service. Big... portions and very reasonable prices. This is a cash-only place so come prepared. They do have an ATM in the store though. I wishI?d open earlier than 9 am. Read more
The creativity, the portion sizes, the friendly staff - this place has it all! Be aware that it's cash only, but they do have an... ATM for those that live electronically. I was actually on my way to a different place when I walked by Green eggs Cafe and saw the massive line outside. So I decided to... cross the street pop my head in and see what the vibe like. I told them I was solo so they instantly put me in the counter spot.When I got the menu I was surprised at all the different options. Everything sounded unique and intriguing and I ended upordering the breakfast burrito which was the right call. The chorizo and salsa were the highlight.
