I?m so grateful for the owner and staff here. I ordered a takeout (three cup squid, so good!) during my husband?s chess... tournament nearby but I forgot my wallet there. Didn?t remember it before we were back in NJ. I called the restaurant and waswondering if they could send it back via usps. One of the staff or owners did! And he refused to give me his name so I couldsend a small gift or check. This is so heartwarming before Christmas. And I will always remember the kindness this place paysme. Read more

As a Taiwanese, this is the best mince pork rice I can find in Philly. Service is wonderful, food comes in 5 to 10 min after... order, always have me cover if I need anything. Read more

I have been going to Ho Sai Gai for many years. Started eating at this establishment when they had a location at the Port... Richmond shopping plaza on Aramingo Avenue but then because of renovation of the plaza there they closed. But we continue topatronize the original location in Chinatown. We have never had a bad meal here, of course the menu we get is the Americanizedversion of Chinese food. But they do have a special menu for their Chinese clients (wish I could read and understand thelanguage would love to order from that menu) the food is always fresh, they make everything by hand, from the dumplings, wantons, egg rolls etc. At times you will see them making these items at the counter behind the dining area which is fascinatingand entertaining. We are always greeted warmly by the owner and server (her name is Young and she is very sweet and attentive)Ihighly recommend Ho Sai Gai next time I'll take pictures of the food we order. But it is always delicious. Read more

If you miss welcoming, comfortable, sit down Chinese restaurants the way they used to be, look no further. This old school... Chinese restaurant offers kind, welcoming service, smartly dressed servers with manners & personality, classic Chinese Americanfavorites like Egg Foo Young and perfectly made egg rolls alongside more traditional Chinese dishes, you found the place. Ho SaiGai has been around a long time. Definitely getting better with age! Read more

I wish I could give it a 0 star. AVOID this place! We paid almost $30 for this trash. When she said it would only take 5 minutes... to cook I should?ve known something was up. Uncooked, taste like pure trash. And I?m serious. The lady was extremely rude too.AVOID please. Read more

Ordered pickup from this place yesterday for me and my boyfriend. We both got the lunch specials. Yesterday he found a fly in... his soup and today while reheating the leftovers I found a piece of plastic in my food. We called yesterday and they refused togive us a refund or offer a replacement. Very disgusted and disappointed. Will not be returning or recommending to others. Read more
