We were very exited to try Lali! So many great reviews and menus looks great! We ordered liver shush kebab. It was overcooked.... Dry and tough. Medium rare lamb turned out to be dry, beyond well done. Chicken stew ? the meat was dry. Salads were reallygood. Meals all brought separately. We had 10 people to all food was brought at different times. 14-20 min difference. Wewanted to share the experience. Therefore waited for each other. Since one star is the least that I can give, let?s just say this place got lucky. If I could give less I would. I was... recommended by many people to come here and try this place out. So my husband and I went here for dinner yesterday. Let?s justsay that is the last time I will ever come to this place. When we placed our order, the waitress repeated the order three times.Besides the fact that we had to wait for absolutely the longest time to get our dinner the order was completely wrong. Wrongsalad, wrong meats everything. I don?t understand how that can be when she repeated the order literally three times back to us.The chicken in the salad was rough, dry, the size of a chicken patty and this was supposed to be a chicken Caesar salad and itlooks like that chicken was not fresh. We ordered different shish kebabs and when the plate came out, the shish kebabs wereplaced on a pita bread. The pita bread was full of blood from the meat. How can anybody possibly eat that? the meat tasted roughand overcooked. I saw many reviews that were good from this place but it looks like it was not the most recent but months back.Again, I?m going to make the assumption there is a new chef because whatever they are doing now is no good. This was my first time trying Lali tonight and I was VERY PLEASED. I'm a foodie who took my friend to an appointment in the... area which finished around 5pm so I looked for a restaurant and settled on Lali since it had good reviews and was close by. It's a BYOB so I took in a bottle of Chimney Rock "Stag's Leap District" Napa Valley Cabernet (Look it up!). We ordered atandoori salmon flatbread, a Greek salad loaded with feta and olives, a Tuna and Guacamole tar tar kind of thing and a meat andcheese plate. I absolutely loved it all except the meat and cheese plate. The charcuterie was expensive and while it wasloaded with lots of food, the cheeses were great but I didn't care too much for the meat that came with it. But again, thesalmon flatbread, the Greek salad and the Tuna Guac things were all AMAZING and BIG. I had wanted to order a rack of lamb butthere was no way we could fit it. Overall the food was outstanding and the price was very good for the amount of food that wegot. It's far from my home but I may venture to try it again. Read more
