The sushi from this place is out of this world and some of the nicest people I have ever met from the owner to the staff. I have... a life threatening dairy allergy and they always asure I never need to worry. Hands down you want sushi in center city go here !Small place but great food! Read more

Machi is one of my favorite places to eat in Philly. I've tried other well reviewed places in the city, but for this price... point, none compare. I've been disappointed by still frozen fish at and spent way too much on over-fishy sushi at other places,but Machi has always provided a consistent, high quality fiash. We enjoyed a delicious spur-of-the-moment dinner at Machi Sushi recently. Taking advantage of their all-day 3 rolls for $33.95,... we got a Sexy City Roll, Dragon Roll, and Yummy Roll. For an appetizer, we had the Spicy Crispy Tuna Wontons and were evensurprised to have some complimentary Mango Mochi Ice Cream for dessert. As you can see the presentation was top-notch. Moreimportantly, everything tasted fresh and delicious! While we dined in there were pickup/delivery orders being grabbed seeminglynonstop. My wife and I walked past this restaurant, did a double take and had a delicious meal. Both the salmon and eel sashimi were... delightful. The veggie gyoza and dipping sauce were excellent. Their selection of rolls is not what you are used to. They havecreated some incredible flavor combinations. We enjoyed the Sexy City and Tropical rolls and there were others we cannot wait totry.
