My wife and I walked past this restaurant, did a double take and had a delicious meal. Both the salmon and eel sashimi were... delightful. The veggie gyoza and dipping sauce were excellent. Their selection of rolls is not what you are used to. They havecreated some incredible flavor combinations. We enjoyed the Sexy City and Tropical rolls and there were others we cannot wait totry. I was looking for sushi in the city and saw that this place had great reviews. I didn’t have as great of an experience. It... took about 30 minutes after ordering to get two rolls, not to mention the HUGE roach that was crawling on the wall. One of theemployees grabbed it with his hand …. Thankfully, he wasn’t handling the food. Read more

Machi is one of my favorite places to eat in Philly. I've tried other well reviewed places in the city, but for this price... point, none compare. I've been disappointed by still frozen fish at and spent way too much on over-fishy sushi at other places, but Machi has always provided a consistent, high quality fiash. The sashami app is a must order every time. The avocado treesare a delicious snack, and the 3-roll combo is an almost unbeatable deal. Read more

We enjoyed a delicious spur-of-the-moment dinner at Machi Sushi recently. Taking advantage of their all-day 3 rolls for $33.95,... we got a Sexy City Roll, Dragon Roll, and Yummy Roll. For an appetizer, we had the Spicy Crispy Tuna Wontons and were evensurprised to have some complimentary Mango Mochi Ice Cream for dessert. As you can see the presentation was top-notch. Moreimportantly, everything tasted fresh and delicious! While we dined in there were pickup/delivery orders being grabbed seeminglynonstop. Being new to Philly but having tried a few other places in the area, this is now amongst my go-to places for sushi! Read more

Can’t beat the sushi prices. Quality is pretty decent. A good go to spot for sushi, but they need to take their soups off the... menu. I ordered a clear broth and spicy seafood soup and what I got was inedible. Not only is the clear broth soup low qualityand contains nothing in it other than the broth and a couple scallions rather than mushrooms and onions like clear soup normallyhas, the spicy seafood soup was just clear broth soup with disgusting over cooked shrimp muscles, and imitation crab. The factthat they delivered that to me was shocking. There was no spice whatsoever since it was just clear broth, And whatever realseafood was in there was beyond over cooked and rubbery. Had to throw it out. I highly recommend removing that from themenu. Edit: downgrading again from 3 stars to 2 stars after receiving dark grey tuna and yellowtail that tasted rotten.Horrible, cheap, not fresh. Borderline dangerous Read more
