What a lovely place! We went to the manayunk brewery to have brunch, and I must say, this is a place you need to come to. While... they still may be getting over hurricane Ida, it's still a very nice place to come to. Their kegs are still damaged, so anyoriginal craft beer won't be ready until they get that fixed. They still have a nice choice of beers to offer you. This was myfirst time to Manayunk, and it was pretty easy to get to. Straight run down the Schuylkill, and you're right there. Forstarters, we ordered the mango wings, the zucchini fries, and the corn dip. Each appetizer was delicious. The mango wings were alittle too wet but they were very tasty. The zucchini fries with the dill dressing were really good and worth a second try. Thecorn dip was the star for me. You got homemade chips with this corn crab, cheese dip that was out of this world! We ordereddrinks. I tried a sample of the milk stout, which wasn't sweet enough for me. My friends ordered an old fashioned, and a citrusIPA, which tasted pretty good. For the entrees I ordered the Osaka roll, and my friends ordered, the mushroom pizza, the tunasalad, and the steak salad. I want to say the steak salad was the best of the lot, but the other entrees were awesome as well.My Osaka roll came with bang bang sauce which was really good and really paired nicely with it. The tuna salad had thinly cutslices of tuna in it, and they were cooked really well. Not to overdone. The mushroom pizza was delicious! I don't think anyentree was a miss! We ended the meal with churros and coffee, and I must say I really had an enjoyable meal here. I woulddefinitely come back here again when they're when their brewery is back up and running and you can get fresh beer here. Sorryabout not writing down the prices, but it's pretty reasonable here. Relaxing atmosphere with views of the river. Went here with a group 14 people and were able to sit right down no problem... outside. The menu is small enough that it?s not overwhelming, but still has plenty of different options and even a full sushimenu that I almost missed. They had some really good mixed drinks, although I do not recommend the fuzzball. That was the onlyitem I was disappointed by. Otherwise, they had a great aesthetic, surprisingly great playlist, friendly staff, and created agreat time for our group. Will definitely visit again. Read more
We booked MBC for our wedding about 10 months prior to the day. Paris, their event coordinator, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING... throughout the entire 10 months!! Aside from answering our million questions very professionally and accurately, she checked inabout every month to see if anything changed, etc. as the day approached. The kitchen staff was also very receptive to somemodifications to the catering menu due to dietary restrictions and allergies. I was confident that they would honestly andfairly try to accommodate just about any rational request we threw their way! All of this communication and coordination wasalso happening when the Brewery was closed for multiple months as they has unfortunately flooded from the river.... I suspectedthey had 'bigger fish to fry', but STILL maintained open and honest communication with us the entire time. Heading in torehearsal, the space was clean and ready to go for us! Come wedding day, we honestly felt like royalty. After blistering in theheat for photos at their scenic river walk area, which is a very short walk down a ramp from the reception space, my wife and Ifelt quite dizzy and queasy. Paris, at no extra charge, insisted we get some food from the kitchen immediately and totally tookcare of us. Their staff was courteous, professional, and unwavering in their support of our guests to have the best night. Icannot say anything better for this venue, and the business as a whole. My son and I went there (1st time) and were very happy with the visit. Things were a little pricier than other places but the... experience was nice. We sat on the covered part of the deck and watched the kayakers go down the river, and just watched timepass by. Both servers, Nick and Gina, were very good and friendly, no waiting for stuff. The chicken strips were very good aswere the fries, better than most others I have had. The sushi was also very good which wasn't expected from an American themerestaurant. Came here after dinner nearby and was able to walk in and grab a seat at the bar right away. This place is crazy. Humongous. The... staff is friendly. Had two cocktails, both quite tasty and kinda strong. Ordered the corn dip, slightly disappointed as Ithought it would have more corn but ended up with sprinkle of corn and mostly cheese. This was my first time here. They have an outdoor bar along with outdoor seating. The staff were friendly. It didn't take long... for us to get seated. The Buffalo wings were good. Yet, the portion was small. You get four whole wings that are very small.This definitely wasn't a full grown chicken. The pizza had too much sauce for me, but many prefer the sauce to ooze out on everysingle bit. The outdoor bartender did a better job with the drinks than those that were served when we were at thetable. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and drinks. Would we choose this restaurant again? Short answer is yes. I dorecommend this restaurant, especially if you enjoy outdoor bars and/or prefer being seated outside. Read more
