Mei Mei Philadelphia, delicious I must say. If you enjoy spicy food, you will definitely enjoy the cuisine. The ambiance is dark... and beautiful; with many wall and ceiling decor. The staff was friendly from the host to the food runner. Excellent service;food arrived to the table in less than 20 minutes. The seafood fried rice and chicken bao buns are my recommendations. I visited Mei Mei last weekend. I had the snapper and I was amazing. The fish was fried well and it was just the right amount of... spicy. It was a huge piece, the whole fish. The place is beautiful and decorated very nice. It’s a good place for a girls’ night or date night. The service was great... and so was the food. I ordered the crab dip, spare ribs, kimchi fried rice, and lamb chops. I also ordered some the Mei Breezeas my drink. My only complaint is some parts of the rib bones were really mushy. So when I bit into the meat, some of the bonecame apart with it and I had to fish the bones and grittiness out my mouth. Also my drink had sugar on the side of the cup. Itlooked pretty but it got messy and I had sugar and sticky fingers. The sugar also melted all over the table. Regardless, Iwouldn’t mind coming back! Read more
Awesome atmosphere, amazing food, service was not the best but not a major concern. We had a party of six and it was a little... weird how they didn’t bring any of our selections at the same time, kind of like we were at a tapas restaurant. Theestablishment felt upper class, very creative, had vibrant colors, was dimly lit, and had a DJ. This is a great place to takesomeone special for a special occasion or to try something unique and different. I suggest trying the sake sangria, shumaidumplings, and crispy skin salmon. Read more
In the mood for delicious drinks and beautiful decor and live music this is the place to go. The food is just basic to me... nothing spectacular but I did enjoy the lamb screwers. This spot has an amazing vibe and delicious food that can satisfy any taste palate! I got the crab cake appetizer and the salmon... entree - both were incredibly seasoned, infused with citrusy flavors, and arranged in a thoughtful presentation. From theambient music to the low but colorful lighting, the atmosphere of the restaurant is on par. This place is great for a dinnerdate or birthday gathering with friends! Read more
Had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem. Pretty busy family friendly spot. The table ordered: Veggie Rolls, Street Fried... Rice, Salmon and General Tsos Chicken. Portion sizes were very good and filling. Customer Service was good. I will say, payattention to new tables when assigned and don’t forget about them. Ambience was nice. We came here for dinner after an event at Sea Philly. Mei Mei is an upscale Asian restaurant. The decor delivers! The service... by our server was excellent as well. The places where this spot fell short was the food. The food was served very well andlooks so good as you can see in the photos. But the taste was OK. The Lo Mein was too salty. The spicy chili short rib dish thathas ???? ???? in the menu was not spicy at all. The chilli oil was weak too. The beer I was served had the Best By date in thepast which was politely replaced and not charged by the server. The first wine glass had stains which was also replaced. Thusthe 3 ?. Read more
