Love the food and people here! It is a little more on the pricy side but its worth it. Fresh and very fulfilling. 3 stars... because it took 20 mins for a single bowl while other customers who came in after me all get their food first, I think they hadaccidentally stored away my bowl even though i ordered it in person. Only got asked what I ordered after everyone hasleft Edit: removed another star because they lost my slip for the second time within a week. Their bowls taste great but every time I come here I get a different amount of the coconut base I order. I started to order with... extra but still got less than the normal amount of a regular bowl. It's really annoying because the bowl is already $12 and I'mpaying extra for more and still getting less. Read more
The cost of the bowls here simply aren't worth it. If you need fruits in your diet, there are better, more affordable options... such as Old Nelson, the Fruit Truck next to Ritter Hall, or even Fresh Grocer. If it weren't for the Fruit Truck being closed, Iwouldn't have even went here. The first time I went to Playa Bowls, over a year ago, I got the Pura Vida acai bowl and ittasted amazing, but since then the quality has gone down and somehow I'm consistently getting mushy blueberries or super tiny,wrinkled blueberries. Also the acai itself doesn't taste as good as it used to. I will say that the oatmeal here is really goodand is more affordable than the bowls which is nice, and I'm sure the smoothies taste good too. Also, the service is alwaysquick and the employees are always very friendly which is a plus. Maybe I'm just not ordering the right thing at Playa Bowlsbut I'm still disappointed that I spent double the price for a lower quality product. Read more
