Our group of 13 ate here twice during Penn graduation, once with a reservation and once without. Renata’s is a gem with... attentive staff, great decor, a fantastic selection of American and Middle Eastern cuisine, really fun and interesting drinkselections, and very reasonable prices. Our meat eaters and vegans were extremely satisfied with the variety. Sit outside for anevening date night, sit inside at the huge downstairs table for brunch:) Read more

My family and I came here on Father’s Day and had a lovely experience. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the food... was actually an amazing experience. The appetizers of fried grape leaves and fried cheese were light and yummy, and we allthoroughly enjoyed our entrees. The menu was diverse and offered both traditional American options, and international flavors Ihadn’t tried before. The zero proof alcohol free drinks were a highlight as well, very refreshing. I will be back for a happyhour soon. Read more

Welcome to a modern Mediterranean twist. The architecture and overall feeling of this location is just perfect. The colorful... walk into the buildings openings bursts with a buzzy vibe And the service is fast and friendly. Eating light is of no difficultyas the portions are filling but not heavy . The flavors are spot on with every dish I tried and the paring for the mealsexecuted flawlessly. Drinks and meal were slightly above what I expected price wise but isn't everything anymore? That beingsaid I will have to return again to try out more of what they have to offer as I'm already impressed with my first renataskitchen experience. Try the chorizo and passionfruit Bollini. You can't miss. Read more

This place has excellent food and the restaurant is clean and accessible in terms of wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.... We sat outside in their patio area. One of the host was very considerate and offered my service dog a nice bowl of water. I wentto this restaurant with my wife and daughter and the weather was rather brisk. The one thing I wish they would've had on thepatio are heaters. It is on the shady side of the street so there is no direct sun in the outside patio area. The one reason whythey are getting three stars, was because the service was somewhat lacking. We asked for numerous items, and had to request thema number of times. It appeared that there was no communication between the numerous people going back and forth. If you wouldask one person for something they would never come back and you would have to ask another person. Normally, I'm not super pickyabout that but it happened so often. Again, no complain about the food which was excellent. I will give them another try whenit is warmer outside. I think, like many businesses sometimes things get hectic and service suffers. My daughter likes thisplace a lot and she's usually a good barometer. We had and loved the following: The Eggplant Haloumi Sandwich with Fries wasexceptional. The bread was toasted just right in butter, the cheese and eggplant combined well with the other veggies and pestoaïoli. The Moroccan Lentil Soup was superb it was accompanied by pita bread triangles which were also delicious. Cauliflowerwith Light Tahini was a really surprising as the five-county farmer really pairs well with the tahini. The Shakshuka Merguezwas really good, it had spicy chorizo and poach Moroccan salsa and also came accompanied with grilled pita. This best dish hasso many variations that it is easy to mess it up. This place did a really good job and all the food came out hot. Therecappuccino rock! Read more

The brunch options are varied and interesting. We had the Shakshuka (three eggs poached in warm Moroccan salsa + grilled pita -... see photo) and Chicken + Waffles with spicy syrup (yum!) and they were both excellent. I plan to stop by the next time I am inPhilly to try the rest of the menu. Their drinks menu looked really good too - another thing to try on the next visit. Read more

What a cool place! Met my wife here for happy hour and we were seated on their beautiful patio. We were early for happy hour... which starts at 5, but we ordered the Blueberry Crush and Margarita Rumman. Both drinks were great, and we were well taken careof at the table. We ordered two small plates: the spicy carrots and the Shuk Barak (lamb dumplings). The dumplings weredelicious and I'm surprised the carrots weren't hot. Inside the restaurant is beautiful. We had a great experience here. Read more

Extremely good Mediterranean food with a mix of American diner. The prices are completely reasonable and the service/environment... is great. I got the Shakshuka Merguez and it was excellent. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Thebasbousa I also ordered was great and it's kind of a minor complaint but if I could buy one as a cake to take home for $15 orsomething, I totally would. Overall I would recommend going here at least once even if the parking is a bit difficult. Oh andplease make a reservation if you can. It helps the servers. Read more
