We spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Rittenhouse and everything was first class. Every Rittenhouse employee we came in contact... with was pleasant and engaging. The concierge really saved us Thanksgiving night. The restaurant where we had made a reservationwas closed upon our arrival. We walked back to the hotel and he immediately got us in to another restaurant and even drove usover in the hotel car. The room was spacious and clean. I have read some of the lower rated reviews and we experienced nothinglike what is being mentioned. My wife and I have stayed at some very nice hotels all over the world and I would put theRittenhouse up against any of them in terms of a high quality experience. The section of town where the hotel is located isgreat, with many restaurants and shopping close by. For being in a busy city like Philadelphia, the neighborhood is busy, butquiet. We had drinks in the Library Bar off the lobby and drinks were great. The service from the bar staff was excellent. Wehad brunch at Lacroix and while expensive, the food and service were fantastic. It was well worth money and I can't say thatabout many restaurants. Overall, a we had a wonderful visit and we gladly stay there again. I would highly recommend theRittenhouse to anyone. Read more

During our 3 day stay we could never get a drink in the bar or eat in the restaurant. This is because the bar and restaurant are... popular with locals and the hotel allows them to take over the bar and fill the restaurant. It?s frustrating not to be able touse these especially given how much they charge for rooms. Read more

Born and raised in Philly, Rittenhouse Hotel was the hotel in the city. Although I?m giving 4 stars, it?s more 3.5. My husband... surprised me with a Philly staycation without the kids for my birthday. Through all my years in Philly, this was the first timestaying here. I was quite disappointed, they didn?t provide anything special for a birthday. Most 5 stars hotels will offersomething little, chocolate or a personalized note. I understand it?s post pandemic, however no turndown service was offeredeither (update, turndown knocked at our door at 10pm, not the typical turndown time) Our room wasn?t ready, although we werewell past the check-in time. The front desk was apologetic and polite about it and gave us comp vouchers for a bubbly. I wasjust expecting more from a well known establishment, especially for the price point. It?s the personal touches that make a stayspecial. Read more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Rittenhouse. The hotel is old but well maintained. The room was spacious and well stocked. The... Gym opened up at 6am and it was clean and spacious for a hotel gym. The service was amazing from Valet, doorman, Conceirge andespecially the receptionist. I definitely felt like i was home which i really appreciated. Read more

Positive: Beautiful hotel right on Rittenhouse Square. Perfect location. Rooms were spacious and the bed was extremely... comfortable. The lobby is gorgeous and staff always greets you with a smile. Whatever fragrance they use in the lobby isheavenly! Negative: There were some stains on the carpet in the room which I did not expect for a 5 star hotel. Read more

I really wanted to love the place. But I can't say I wasn't disappointed. For almost $800 per night I expected more. The staff... were excellent and professional. But that's were the excellence ended I've used better towels at a Holiday Inn. The robes werealso thin and short. The shower was small. No amenities for the bathtub. No tea in the room. No hot tub. The doorman, thoughfriendly, never noticed anyone walking out. And many times not even walking in. At the Library Bar, my wife ordered a WhiteRussian, but was told they were out of cream. After not ordering anything else, they found some cream. Suspicious? Yes. All inall, a good hotel, but not worth what they charge. Read more
