Reviews for Tony and Nick's Steaks in Philadelphia, PA
Steak and cheese was very good. The one gentleman worker was enthusiastic and a great help getting everyone side condiments... while providing a great work ethic. Fries were awesome we had the salt and vinegar Read more
I was expecting an extraordinary cheese steak and it was quite average; I had even made it a mandatory stop on my trip to... Philadelphia but it didn't impress. They are good but not insurmountable. The customer service was quite poor. To refill sodathey charge you $1 Read more
I will have to come back and try it without cheese whiz (I'm not a Philly native). I have honestly never had it and I wasn't a... fan. Other than that the bread was perfect and the steak was very tasty. Was much better after I got some peppers and a littlehot sauce. Not bad for my first Philly cheese steak but I feel like there is room for improvement. Read more
We ordered the steak with jalapeño cheese and the pork sandwich. Hands down the pork was the best. They drench it in their... drippings which made it so juicy and flavorful. We came 8 min before they closed at 10. Just in time! Make sure you get therebefore then because they were turning people away soon as 10pm hit. Read more
Philadelphia is famous for their cheese steak sandwiches so we just have to give this place a try. There are plenty of free... street parking outside. We ordered 3 sandwiches for 4 people to share. The sandwich was 9.5" each and costs around $12.5. Sincewe didn't eat the sandwiches right away, they weren't super hot. I bet they taste much better eating them right away. Weordered cheese steak hoagie, old fashioned pizza steak and steak italian. All were very good but I wish I can taste the cheesea bit more. My favorite was cheese steak hoagie. And don't forget to get the pepper side! Read more
Even if you have never been there before, Tony Luke's instantly gives you that childhood nostalgia of good foodie vibes. I got... the cheese steak (obviously) 'with wiz' and fried onions. Every bite was perfect and it had the perfect mix of greasy and savoryyou want in each bite. I thought having the option to add cherry peppers (condiments side bar) was a nice touch! My gripes:there was a long line (to be expected at a good place, but as you know I hate lines), no silverware on the side to cut my cherrypeppers and personally I felt there could have been slightly more meat on the sandwich. What I loved: the bread (perfect), theatmosphere (very cheesesteaky) and the actually sandwiches perfect bite was top notch. I didn't drink so I won't rate drinks.Price wise it was reasonable and worth it. Overall I give Tony Luke's a 4.3 out of 5. A South Philly must eat! Read more
This is the third time I've been there and the third time was not the charm my lettuce looked like it was almost rotten and... there was no flavor to it. Glad I didn't bite into before I came home I would've been mad. Come on guys you gotta do better andit was early too. Won't be going back. You have to love what you do when you are in the kitchen. My cheese steak will runcircles around them. The other photo is me doctoring it up so I could eat it. I used to work at MetLife Stadium and had the bestcheese steak stand in the stadium so yeah I know a little about cooking and preparing to make you want more. Last photo is afterI finished hooking it up. Read more
Philly landmark. Good and fast. I wish there was a little more seating since we sat in the car but not going to downvote since... Covid and not knowing Phillys Covid policies. You get a good portion. And there?s nothing like a cheesesteak in Philly. Breadmeat and cheese just hit different here! Read more
