We were warmly welcomed as soon as we entered! You need to walk to the basement level to enter the restaurant. The restaurant... has very cozy vibes with brick walls and fish lanterns. We had a delicious scallop appetizer, maki rolls, and green tea mochiice cream with excellent service from our waitress Nana. Highly recommend visiting!! Read more

This place is great. It?s located in the basement so when you walk in make sure to go down.\n\nTheir hosting was fantastic and... their food simply spectacular. The Umami roll was the highlight, but their New York Steak was perfect too. Read more

This is the first review I?ve ever left on Google and it is so so deserved for this restaurant. The food was incredible?some of... the best food I?ve ever had in Philly. Service was great?the staff is truly proud of the work they are doing and the food theyare serving. The restaurant is beautiful and certainly will be packed very soon. The ribeye steak was unbelievable and the NewYork was also very good. All of the sushi was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Between the dining experience and truly deliciousfood I could not recommend this restaurant more. I am very excited to go back and will definitely be going for lunch likely thisweek. Read more

We heard about this restaurant through an Instagram post. The food looked very tasty and we have to say it exceeded our... expectations. We had the honor of coming during their soft opening. Whether or not they were just buttering us up, they have wonour hearts and our stomachs. We sat at the sushi bar and Chef Mike made our dinner experience very special. It was \"ichi-goichi-e.\" This is a Japanese 4 character idiom that describes a cultural concept of treasuring the unrepeatable nature of amoment.\n\nChef Mike is very personable and humble. He does not give himself enough credit, but we know he will only create moreexciting culinary experiences due to his passion, talent and drive to continue to learn and innovate. We let chef Mike take thelead and it was truly an amazing sushi/sashimi/nigiri journey. The food Chef Mike creates are firmly rooted in traditionalJapanese styles but not tied down to the tried and true. This allows him to create plates with both the excellent taste we havecome to expect from true quality sushi and he goes further to add a unique, fresh and entirely original flavor.\n\nThe Koji agedsteak was very unique and makes it stand our from other steak house flavors in the city (and we do like a good steak). The headkitchen chef carves the steak for you at table side. Worth the experience.\n\nThe staff is very attentive. Peter the manager wasvery kind and really knows how to make you feel welcomed and at home.\n\nWe hope that as the restaurant gets busier (which weknow it will) that they will somehow be able to keep the sushi bar experience personable and wonderful. We wish the restaurantonly the best and we will be back again. Read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem of Philly! The restaurant is in a basement and the entrance is so unassuming. If my husband... didn?t see the signs outside the door, we would never find it.\n\nThe food is absolutely delicious. We have both vegetariantemaki and those with fish, all of them taste amazing. The pork bun and ribeye buns are equally amazing! Read more
