This restaurant is saved in my phone as "lyubimaya" and rightly so! I drive 1.5 hours each way simply to get take-out. I've been... going here since 2011 and have never had a bad experience. I'm not Eastern European but I speak Russian and I actuallyappreciate the fact that the staff does not speak to me in English when I'm addressing them in Russian. The Ukrainian borschtwith tandoori bread is my favorite and I simply cannot leave without taking chebureki with me. Every time I leave, I cannot waitto come back. Read more

If you?re looking for some traditional Uzbek foods, then visit this place and give them a chance. You won?t be disappointed. The... food was outstanding with a beautiful interior and the service was exceptionally good. Tried out some traditional foods likeSamsa, Manti & they were mouthwatering! The shikh & kabab items were also awesome esp the veal liver & salmon shikh! But ya, wetook baklava as dessert & they were not much good like the Turkish one. Anyway, it was our first time here but def won?t be thelast. Read more

On a beautiful summer evening, we were looking for a new spot with outdoor seating to try, stumbled upon Uzbekistan Restaurant... on a "best of" list, and headed toward the northeast for dinner. So glad we did: greatly enjoyed sitting on the covered patio*and trying as many dishes as we could. A number of families were dining and you could tell there were a number of regularsenjoying large pitchers of Compot with BYO mix-ins. Some highlights: the pickled green tomatoes on the Pickled Vegetablesplatter were out of this world! Also memorable, the Potato Vareniki (small potato dumplings similar to pierogies), the LambKebab, the Pilaf Uzbekistan, and the Honey Cake. Though it was a bit of a trip from Center City, there was ample parking inthe parking lot around back, and the food was worth the journey. *Open windows let in both breeze as well as a fair amount oftraffic noise from Bustleton Avenue. Our experience here was most excellent. Neither of us had ever enjoyed this particular ethnic cuisine before and found the... opportunity to do so irresistible? so glad we did! Between the two of us we ordered five entrees and appetizers, going all out.Everything we had was outstanding as were the hostess and server who were very nice and helpful with our decision making. Priceshere are surprisingly low for the quality received. Afterwards we chatted outside with the owner at his woodworking station andfound him to be quite a good and humble gentleman. Highly recommended. Read more

Good lord. The food here is so fresh and delicious. The apps are mostly vegetarian but the main course is perfectly... prepared meats. This is a byob so bring so great wine. I will return here. I feel like the northeast Philly area isbecoming a mecha of international eating. Ps get the honey cake... get all of the desserts. Read more
