Carlos O'Brien's has always been a favorite of mine and then they closed the restaurant on Northern near my house and I was... extremely unhappy! But now there's one down the road from my work on Happy Valley and this restaurant is just as nice! I hadlunch here with a gf and we ate at the bar. The bartender was extremely pleasant, attentive to our needs and was social enoughwith us that we really enjoyed him! I'll definitely keep coming back and it's likely it'll be to dine at the bar again! The foodis delicious except sometimes they should probably lay off so many green onions on everything, it can become overwhelming withonion flavor exceeding the other flavors in coming together that I literally have to pick them out. Eat here! The food is great and so are the drinks! I recommend sitting in the bar area if you can as the staff there is very... attentive and the food and drinks seem to come out faster there????. I also recommend you go during happy hour for the drinkspecials and that you try the sangria margarita (the large size). Always was curious on trying out this place every time I passed it. Today I did and to be honest I should have done it sooner!... It blew my mind how good the food was! The service was top tier and professional! I never had an empty drink let alone chips!The carne was melt in your mouth full of flavor let along the fresh tortilla which could be corn or flour. 10/10 I recommendthis place! I thought they closed the doors all together when the northern location closed. Saw this driving northbound on I-17 @ Happy... Valley did a U-turn and this ladies in gentleman is what you've been waiting for with Mexican food. Amazing ???????? Read more

My first day in Phoenix and we are hungry needing something to eat. That was the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to.... The Beef taco and cheese Enchilada were bad, taste like old meat or been sitting on the fridge or freezer for a long time. Theserver even agreed with us. Read more
