Not happy with the food ordered. Tried this restaurant since I was next door shopping. Ordered the brisket sandwich with fries... and mint cherry lemonade. Fries had no seasoning at all. Salt and pepper goes a long way... Brisket was over cooked and noflavor at all. The bbq sauce was little on the sandwich with 2 pieces of sauteed onions an no pickles. The mint cherry lemonadewas little too thick and sugary. Made me want to drink a lot of water. When I got home I added ginger ale and it tasted so muchbetter. I have eaten at this place three times and the food never taste the same. There should be a consistency with the recipe at... least, for as much money as they charge. I will not be back for a forth time. The yams are a joke, I don't know many black folksto not get this right, but they have managed. A few years ago this was a pretty decent spot that you could sit down and order from while enjoying the food inside. Since then... it is a single window with zero human interaction and you have to order everything from a screen while sweating your a$$ offbecause there isn't any air conditioning in the lobby. The food is SUPER expensive for what you get and it all resembled frozenkindergarten school meals. The meatloaf was $18.50 for the two thin patties and the brisket burger was $15. On top of the $18.50you had to pay an additional $1.50 for mac and cheese for a side. The collard greens were way too salty to even eat. Woulddefinitely never return. Read more

I went to this place today 3/29/22 and I'm disappointed that they claim to be soul food selling a $5 side of... watery yams straight from the can, macaroni and cheese sauce, 3 collard leaves cut in pieces, and I didn't order burnt ends....but that's what I got mixed in with a couple of mushy tips. I ordered ahead and was given a specific time to pick up the order. Not only were we there 40 minutes later than we were told... but, our order was wrong! We were missing an entire meal, they ran out of 2 of the sides we ordered and didn't tell us or ask uswhat we wanted instead, and we were missing another side we should have had. The disgusting part of this visit was watching theperson behind the counter LICK HER FINGERS to open the plastic bag she was putting someone's order in! Gross! Usually I lovethis place. I went here once just happened to see it. I'm from the south and in the south the rinky dink places have good food but not this... one. The food I ordered thankfully didn't look as bad as the photos that are being posted. If you do not know any better let meinform you. Real southern cooking does not look like this, does not taste like this and yes seasoning food is a big part ofsouthern food, but there is a such thing as two much. It was definitely not worth it. If you think this is good food you eatanything. It's a hole in the wall and the service is slow ????. The prices are way too high. The quality of food is so poor andthe price of the food is way to high. The meals should not cost this much at all. Just look at these pictures on here. It'sdisgusting and they don't care obviously. You put up a photo of what looks like to be some catfish that the breading almostlooks Grey or actually is Grey saying it's delicious Gross Please stop typing people off.
