The best soul food spot I am aware of in Phoenix. I absolutely love the greens and smothered chicken thighs over rice!!

Parking limited, No AC, No servers, One side to order and other side to eat in (eat in side did have a little ac) they don't... bring food to you, have to walk back over to other side to get your food. Hours fluctuate based on when they want to open.Longer wait then told, was told 15 mins. Food was cold after 45 min wait only meats were hot. So, the young lady at the front window, was very pleasant! Now, I ordered the wings, which are party favor wings, NOT whole... wings, and sweet potatoes(which are mushy), those not big momma type of yams, and Mac & cheese(which was decent). Ok, I orderedmy husband the Thigh meal, which ONLY comes with 1 thigh(yep you heard me, 1), now, when you you go to Harold's, churches, oreven KFC, NONE of them give you ONLY 1 piece of chicken and rice. Service was great and very welcoming. Food was delicious. I ordered the catfish (hot, fresh and very well seasoned), honey hot... chicken (wasn't fried hard enough for me but I didn't request so not complaining) sauce was delicious, loaded mash (enoughsaid...great) and corn on the cob (recommendation didn't disappoint). The greens are amazing but I can?t disregard the facts that my catfish was undercooked and my pork chop was either refried or... had been sitting out for hours because it tasted old and like rubber. Request freshly cooked meat when you visit. Read more

Decided to try this place and we were very unsatisfied. The mac n cheese, and lobster Mac n cheese wasn?t fresh and dry. The... catfish nuggets were clearly the bottom of the bucket.
