I usually visit Panda Express on E Thunderbird Rd and 40th st. This visit I experienced employees testing the food with a... thermometer and cleaning it with the same wipe then inserting it into the next dish of food and testing that one using the samethermometer. Besides the chemical of the wipe, they inserted into the food I eat, Another customer left instead of orderingbecause she is allergic to shrimp and observed them inserting the same thermometer they used to test the chicken, into theshrimp. I told the manager to be helpful, but she just said that's how it's done so I left. We did go to the Panda Express onTatum and the manager there said they were cautious not to do that. This particular panda express is always so busy. I only wish they could stay organized always seem to be out of items (not... prepared when they know what is always purchased and how busy they get) they messed up my order for the fourth time I am goingacross the street to Iron Chef from now on for any chinese lunch cravings. It's got good food, the same as any Panda Express. But the reason I put four stars is because someone "blew up" the restroom, as... they say. It smelled pretty bad in there. But the food was great, even reheated, as I didn't finish it all. Read more
I am not one to ever want to bash a restaurant as I have great respect for those who work in it as they endure so much and while... doing so aim to please oftentimes and put up with a lot. However; saying that this Panda Express leaves a lot to be desired andit is not just with the food but the service also which is atrocious! My colleagues and I have frequented this particularrestaurant a lot and each subsequent time have found that they seem to more friendly to men (perhaps their own friends, familyetc.) and piling their food on and noticed this because others were treated differently. Meanwhile on one occasion which was ahuge deterrent for continued business is I waited for a cooked-to-order beef and broccoli and they gave me so much broccoli thatI had to dig for me the beef! Suffice it to say this adds a whole new meaning to "Where's the Beef" as it certainly was not onmy order and miniscule at best. The servers roll their eyes, not pleasant, rude, seemingly could care less, and throw your platetogether and move on to the next order without so much as a word not even a thank you for the business. I get that but with theworld in disarray a little kindness goes a long way and service with a smile is not something you will ever find here! We are ateam of six ladies and two guys and we all have noticed this. Even the guys were like what is up with this staff! We inquiredafter being given plates loaded with veggies and one tiny scoop "given that there is so much veggies are you guys only doing onescoop?" The answer with a rude gesture was "yes." Dude, we can take our business elsewhere and with so many, many choices weopted not to put up with the shizznick as none of us are vegetarians who would have perhaps been satisfied with just a smallserving of veggies only. Had the urge for a Asian bowl so I stopped here. I ordered the broccoli and beef bowl with combo chow mien with white rice. ... They were out of brown rice? How can Panda Express be out of brown rice? I guess it does happen. It was quite tasty afteradding hit sauce! Not bad. Phoenix has a shortage of good Chinese restaurants in Paradise Valley.
