Holy Taco-lies Batman!!! (I know, that was cheesy - BUT SO WAS THE STREET CORN OFF THE COB!!!) Listen Linda, I'm NOT going to... try to convince you to try this place, but I am. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican style restaurants, well up until last night Iwasnt,......but now I'm all in!!! This may be the start of something beautiful! Oh my bad, I was supposed to be doing arestaurant review - umm, I can't speak on all the food, but everything I had here was AWESOMELY FLAVORFUL.....AND TASTY.....ANDYUMMY....AND DELICIOUS......AND AMAZE-BALLS.....AND FABULICIOUS.....AND SCRUMPTIOUS.....AND.......OK I'll stop.... But for realthe BYO Tacos were on point! We got chicken, turkey, and brisket (mind you we had brisket 2 times from 2 separate restaurantsbefore this one - don't ask why, it just happened. The brisket here was hands down THE BEST!! ALSO I have to say the streetcorn off the cob should cost 1 half of a bitcoin. I was NOT expecting that flavor explosion!! I couldn't stop eating it.Needless to say this will become a regular part of my diet from now on....I may never eat corn ON the cob again! I'mserious....well, unless someone forces me.... Just know I will be back very soon....just have that corn waiting for me at theValet!! (BTW, will yall drag the valet inside and let them partake in those scrumptious morsels!?!? I asked dude if this placewas good and he didn't even know!! All he could say was he heard good things!! The valet is your first face!! He could sell thatcorn better than me if he knew what I now know about it!!!) Read more

Food and drinks were amazing. Our server was friendly and attentive. My husband and I had a wonderful date night. When we... overheard the bartender telling a group of people that walked in to get a drink like at 9:30 that she already called last callso rudely we were shocked. Google is showing they are open until midnight on Saturday. After she walked away from them (leftthem standing there) she went straight to the servers and was expressing her frustration of not wanting to get stuck late atwork with a bad attitude. I feel like she shouldn’t have done that in front of paying customers. But I guess this is thebehavior we are used to nowadays. Read more

We always look forward to a new neighborhood restaurant. This took the place of Arcadia Tavern. The best description I can give... it is cognitive dissonance. They accept reservations. It’s primarily a bar with a couple TVs and loud discoish music. Itdoesn’t have bar food type small plates (like burgers) and appetizers to pick at. The menu seems to be sw-ish focused but theflavors are off. Beef brisket that’s smoked doesn’t match the tacos. Duck confit enchiladas is just weird. So… afterstaring at the menu, we debated which appetizer things might work. None of the rest was appealing to us. I got the “hotchicken” appetizer that is 4 drumsticks and 4 biscuits served with a squirt bottle of hot sauce for the “hot” part? Thechicken was very charred (see pic) and appeared to have soaked in liquid smoke. Too much smoke makes it almost bitter. It wasmoist on the inside though. It wasn’t hot all all (there are nearby restaurants that do btw). I didn’t eat more than acouple bites of the chicken and did not squirt it with the hot sauce. Not a good combo with smoke. The biscuits were actuallygood, but are served with a butter that had the oddest waxy mouthfeel and taste. I asked for honey instead. I also ordered theslaw side. It wasn’t a bad dressing (buttermilk lime) but it had big hunks of sliced Brussels sprouts in it. My companionordered the “shrimp ceviche” which was precooked bay shrimp not marinated. They were pretty dry, with more lemon than limeflavor in limited juice. He also ordered the chips and salsa, which was a smoked tomato salsa that wasn’t great either thoughmost likely out of a Costco jar. I’ve had it before. The waitress was pleasant but didn’t ask to refill drinks or noticethat the “iced tea” she served looked more like dirty water and tasted not good. The interior booths and tables are okay. There’s a small patio seating area as well. Facilities note: the grease traps are in front of the door and don’t seem to bemaintained. Great new spot in Arcadia. Decided to stop by and check out the happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. The drink selection... offered a wide selection of different cocktails from sweet to bitter. I tried the horchata cocktail, it was very well balancedand not too sweet. Also, the food on the happy hour menu features some of the delicious menu items at a discount. I ordered thesweet potato gnocchi with pork and sage, it was extremely flavorful, tender and savory. The chef has a talent for creatingunique and flavorful dishes from non traditional foods. If you like great food, a comfortable atmosphere and unique cocktails, this is the place for you! Read more

Solid neighborhood spot. I got the tacos (pollo, asada and salmon) all of which were pretty good. The pollo taco was definitely... a little more spicy than expected but i love spice so it worked for me. The drink menu is quite tasty and you can tell a lot ofthought and intention went into coming up with the menu. I got the Kobe drink, which I thought was super cute, a little sweetbut definitely would recommend. The street corn has to be my favorite item on the menu and I would say 100% must start with thatas the app. My friend got the duck enchiladas which came out cold the first time she ordered. They were speedy in handling thematter, got her a whole new dish and a free drink while we waited. She ended up saying the enchiladas were worth the wait.Everyone was very friendly, kind and accommodating from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I will be back! Read more
