TLDR; 8/10, reasonably priced food that is delicious. I won't say this place is the best food ever. But if you are in the need... for some greasy delicious food quickly and for reasonable prices then Hog Island is the place for you. 20 minutes and you canexpect your order on its way. Hog Island has a large selection of food. From cold deli hoagies to cheesesteaks to pizzas. Ihave always gone with the cheesesteak. I have gotten it with cheese sauce and marinara. Both times delicious, but definitelygreasy and not good for you. Things are a bit unconventional here as when ordering the gravy fries, you get a bag of fries and acup of gravy. Terrible experience today with my family! Total bill $77.00. We LOVE this place but today a child maybe 6/7 years old was... screaming and throwing a fit for 30 minutes while the parents did nothing. The owners did nothing. We at least thought theywould ask the parents to take the child outside and settle her down or leave. They did not. Finally we had to ask for containersto take our food and leave. Before we left we did indeed let the parents know how they ruined our meal and they should beashamed for being so inconsiderate and rude. We eat there on a weekly basis of late but we will NOT be coming back if that?s theway they treat their customers furthermore we are sharing with all our friends. Sad to have to find another place because ourbusiness and money as Americans did not matter to the staff. Very upsetting . Read more
WOW! I was so surprised by softness of the sandwich bread. It was well packed with meat & whatever you chose to add, mushrooms,... cheese. onions. etc. Plus it was Good! I could only take 2 to 3 bites then I was done because of the delicious chicken wings weordered Garlic, Barbecue & fried. They were sooo good. Look 4ward to returning during the summer! Just got back from an extremely long quarantine and the first thing we needed to do was stop by hog Island to refresh ourselves... with one of our favorites?A pork and broccoli rabe Hi Tavern platter. My wife and I decided to just split the platter which wasof course outstanding and packed with meat and fresh broccoli rabe. We were in the mood for some wings and asked for a dry rubstyle, the owner Dimitri was interested in our opinion so he whipped up some lemon pepper wings and a secret mix of spices onanother set of wings. Both styles featured very full and meaty drumsticks and wings portions, but the secret mix was so goodthat my wife stopped sharing them after I had just one :) I can?t explain the flavor but it?s something you need to ask himabout and try. If you?re not that adventurous, the lemon pepper dry rub was outstanding as well! The food here speaks foritself, but Dimitri is a special business person who always goes out of his way to please his customers, his staff is reflectiveof his management style and very happy and always willing to ask how you?re doing and make sure that you enjoyed your meal. Absolutely disgusting food. They forgot our pizza, the fries were gross, the burger was a hot mess, the pork sandwich was... somehow dry and greasy at the same time, the salad was rank, and the coleslaw literally made my wife vomit. No joke. Neverordering from here again. Read more
