First time I ordered here it was very good - ?hot and fresh?. This was on a Saturday around 8pm. Today (2-3 weeks later) on a... Tuesday around 6:30pm, I got the exact same meal I got as last time and this time it was disgusting. The chicken was allfatty?every piece was tough; and it?s chicken. Not sure if you changed the sweet and sour chicken in that 2-3 week period, butchange it back lol. I?d rather pay $20 for food that is good quality and that taste good. Prices have gone up so much lately. $50 for 3 people takeout, might as well go out to eat at an actual restaurant. And they... charge extra for sauce on a big order. Single combos are the same, $15 and charge extra for sauce. Read more

Today I decided to try this place based off the reviews I had seen. I got the L13 combo after 3pm for it was a dollar or so more... expensive and without a drink / eggroll; The total was $11 something. If I were to give this a rating strictly off food qualityand not take into consideration price, I would give it a 4. The General Tso was great and the Chicken Fried Rice was prettytypical; The veggies were nice, fresh, and crunchy, but the chicken was lacking. If money is not an issue for you then thisplace could really be a contender. Sadly for me Google doesn't pay me yet so I'm not sure when I'll be back. I?ve been eating at this place since I was in high school- I remember coming here back when I was in grade 10 which was now 17... years ago! Back then I would order the General Taos Chicken with friend rice. After all these years of developing your palletand trying new things, the General Taos is still one of the best I?ve ever had! This place is now a staple in Pickering amongother things like the nuclear power plant and petticoat creek. When you hear of Pickering, Dragon Gem has to be in your top 5landmark thoughts.
