Usually cracker barrel is pretty good but this evening it wasn't so great. Tried the new country fried turkey and it was pretty... decent but the mashed potatoes were cold and there wasn't very much gravy on them, Husband had country fried steak. Our party of 4 enjoyed a lunch of breakfast foods and others roast beef dinners. The service was great and the food deliciously... hot. The portions were large ,perfectly prepared and priced reasonably. Our wsitress was very attentive. We would all highlyrecommend this restaurant to everyone. Read more

Cracker Barrel is finally stepping into the 21st century and moving up in the world! We visited for the first time in quite some... time, and were really impressed with the service, but mainly the new menu items. They now serve drinks in the way of beer andwine, as well as some Jack Daniels and Zing Zang options (peach whiskey and Bloody Mary). They also offer a new appetizer itemof fried pickles, which were really yummy! I had my usual, the Sunday fried chicken dinner, which was wonderful as always. Theothers had a cheeseburger with thick-cut bacon, and chicken and dumplings. Everyone left stuffed and happy. The BEST part of thewhole trip is that they now offer scan and pay, and you don?t have to wait in the long cashier line before heading out! It all started with the host Madison, she took too long to greet us & she sat us at a dirty table & ignored us when we asked her... for a baby sling. Upon arriving at the dirty table, we proceeded to ask her if someone can come clean the table off. She didn?teven address us, so I asked a server if he could get someone to wipe off the table. Then we went up to ask the host again for ababy sling and got ignored once more. Then the server Jocelyn took 20 minutes to greet us & then after finally greeting us, sheignored us again for 10 minutes to help out her other tables. When she finally took our order she said and I quote ?y?all readyyet or not?? After we waited for our food it came out wrong. The server did not acknowledge that the food was wrong and we askedfor a manager. The only good part of our experience was the manager LANE. He immediately corrected the order and sympathizedwith us. He deserves a promotion & a raise. This experience further concludes my thoughts about Cracker Barrel. I would notrecommend to anyone & I will not be back to dine in. The pancakes was good though. Normally when I eat Cracker Barrel I get the meatloaf meal with pinto beans, green beans, and mashed potatoes and it's normally... AMAZING but today it was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . I'm not even sure what I was given. I ordered to-go for my family becauseI did not have time to cook and when my food arrived it was cold and I went to dig in and I seen red pieces of some type offoreign meat inside of my meatloaf and some of the green peppers were grey instead of being green. Went for dinner, they had a wait but were very formal about it! Once we were sat our waitress only came to us for our order and... our check, our food was taking a while as well. The manager apologized for the time our food was taking which was nice but ourwaitress just didn't interact with us like she should've. The food was still great quality and we had a good time!
