This was our first visit. It is a drive through only place, no dining in. We went to "Wren" location , called and ordered for... pick up. We got the bird dog, the buffalo wings and real combo calzone. Their highly acclaimed "bird dog" chicken sandwich wasdisappointing. The smoked chicken breast was in big hunks, dry and hard to eat in a sandwich. It was not "pulled" as one wouldexpect for a sandwich. It was more like a smoked chicken breast half with some shredded pieces on the edges shoved in a subroll. The smoked flavor of the meat overall was good, it was just quite dry. Sadly, there wasn't enough honey mustard to moistenit enough.... but what was on there was VERY tasty! The bread is very fresh and not too thick. It is buttered and grilledcrispy, which is a nice touch. But the outside was also rather buttery and seasoned? This made it very messy to eat. The buffalowings we ordered fried rather than baked as we like them quite crispy. They were not crispy at all and didn't seemed well baked( if we got baked by accident?) either. Chicken was cooked through but the skin was thick and mushy. Not crisp at all. Buffalosauce had good flavor and wasn't real spicy. Bleu cheese was average. My hubs had the Combo calzone and said it was very goodand he really enjoyed the special, buttery sauce on the side. The staff was friendly and order was ready at the window. Read more
