Its definitely not the best place in the area, but it's been around for a very long time, seems to have it's own crowd. While... food is nothing remarkable and coffee is no good, it's pretty quiet, reasonably fast service and pleasent staff. Only been once. Service was terrible. It was at like 8pm, 2 staff. Both getting wasted with a few customers. Local pub with a homey feel. To be honest, unless you're a regular client or gambler, the service is non-existent. Have spent... many nights there playing those machines....and don't regret a thing!! First of all the timings mentioned are not right. The kitchen closes at 10, at least on Wednesdays and the bar closes at 11:30.... So, there is nothing called midnight at this place. Only one person to cater to all customers. He is a nice guy, no doubt, buthelpless in front of the policies. Other than the one who served this place didn't seem to be very customer friendly. Our waitress was great considering we were a big group but the food was just passable. My smoked meat pizza just had dried up... specks of meat on it. I was there last Saturday evening for a memorial in my uncle's honor, who used to frequent that bar when he was younger. It was... a great evening - the food was yummy, service was great up until my entire family and I contracted food poisoning the nextday. We were all very sick for several days. I nearly had to be hospitalized for dehydration because it was so bad. Because ofthis, I would never go back. I hope that the owner of La Residence sees this so that he can take the proper measures to ensurethe quality of the food being served is up to standard. Read more
