**UPDATE** They're back to their delicious selves, thank goodness! They lost me there for a little while but I kept going back... to see if they'd come back to their senses. And they did! Their food, once again, is delicious and they're my go to Chinese foodtake out that I can always trust will make me extremely happy and satisfied! ----------------------------------------- Such ashame what's happened to Mr. Chan's. This was the best Chinese restaurant in Baltimore!! But ever since Covid, i don't know ifthey changed management or chefs or what, but the quality of food has tanked in a major way! Now, EVERYTHING I order is eitherdry, oversalted, and always poor quality. My husband ordered orange chicken last weekend and he couldn't eat it bc it was SO dry(& this guy eats almost anything). We literally threw it in the trash - such a waste of food but it truly was inedible. It'sdevastating bc I'd go there several times a month and they had my favorite dishes that no one else makes like yuba & seitan. Andthe sad thing is, I still order from there once or twice a month hoping that it'll be back to it's original amazing food, but tono avail. It's always bad. It breaks my heart and I wish they would go back to their original amazingness. ???? If you'rereading this, Mr. Chan's, PLEASE, go back to your prior quality standards!! There's no way you can be proud of your restauranthow it currently is. I will gladly write an amazing review the second your food is good again. Promise. Read more

Inconsistent kitchen, both in terms of quality and dish composition; e.g., the same mixed vegetables dish will have wilted red... bell peppers and wilted mushrooms one visit, and fresh snow peas and wilted baby corn the next. And why do you have youngchildren taking and handling carry-out orders? I appreciate this is a family operation, but the optics are really unseemly. Read more
My wife and I celebrated Chinese New Year by ordering take out dinner from Mr. Chan last week. We always enjoy the cuisine at... Mr. Chan. The egg drop soup is always tasty. The spring rolls are always perfect. The deluxe chow mein is always excellent. What happen to this restaurant this place used to have the best freshest food and in the last two years has sunk down to garbage... status.. I thought I would give it one last chance and ordered szechuan green beans needless to say they were old, shriveled up..nasty green beans and dry no flavor I took one bite and could not eat them!! I don't even want to bother to take them back,that's how bad it is and I don't ever want to go there again and like I said they used to be the best and now they are the worsttime to find a new place Read more
I was so excited heard from friend how good the food.was I ordered shrimp toast I have never seen these little perfect... squares of hard tasteless and chewable points of fried something . Who can make fried rice badly it was dried out and alsotaste less. The 2 stars is for the chicken corn soup why! It was actually real white meat in a tasteless broth.
