Everything was AMAZING!! From the ambience, to the drinks, and especially the food!!! I got the lobster ravioli which was just... enough food. I wanted to keep eating but I was full. I waited an hour for my food. I ordered a steak oscar which was $80 with the lobster tail I added on. My steak was raw and I... ordered it medium rare. This is no where near $80 a plate service. If they only had two cooks in the kitchen they should havenotified us on arrival so we could make other arrangements or at least order an appetizer while we waited. They wanted us topay full price for that... Oh and after they dropped off the check at our table we waited 10 minutes for them to come back. To start off the overall ambiance from the moment you walk in is nothing short of captivating. Chef Taylor greeted us with a... smile as we walked in the door. The menu choices were hard to choose from. The flavors of the food explode with every bite,Chef Anthony is truly amazing at what he does. Don’t miss this place because it’s near the mall! One of the best in Charlotte hands down. Lobster ravioli in Cajun cream... sauce, fried chicken, and crab cakes were all delicious. Crème brûlée cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had,not overly sweet, perfect texture. Drinks are reasonably priced, $6 Prosecco pleasantly surprised me. Dinner for 2 includingdrinks, appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert were $120. We will definitely be back. Service was fine, will probably benefit from morefine dining approach given menu is more upscale. I had brunch here today. While the service was great the food was subpar for the price. The presentation is great but the taste... is bland. They were out of the wing appetizer, blt and the seafood trio dish which was disappointing. The crab cakes were notgood but the truffle fries were for the appetizers. My sister had the red velvet chicken and waffle and said the chicken wasdelicious but waffle was tasteless. My mom had the scampi and the lobster tail wasn’t cooked properly and did not peel off thetail. The pasta had no taste. The chefs breakfast was bland. The stuffed French toast was okay… it just tasted like icinginstead of cheesecake inside. It’s also odd that 20% is automatically added without being mentioned. We typically tip at leastthat amount anyway but it’s odd to just automatically add gratuity for a party of 4. Update - Open table does state gratuityfor 5 or more. I’ve been a fan of Chef Anthony Smith for a while now just based off of his Instagram. When I found out he opened a restaurant... I knew that I needed to go. So I made a reservation for my daughters birthday brunch. Everything was so good…the drinks, ourServer Nakeya(?) and our drinks were amazing!!!
