Really loved having lunch here. There was a 45 minute wait so we wandered around at the little western set next door. It?s cute... and rustic with tons of seating inside and outside. I had a the ribs and would definitely recommend them! Read more

Pappy + Harriet?s is a local watering hole with excellent food in the heart of Pioneertown. Ribs are dynamic and kale salad was... amazing. Would highly recommend but come early they stop seating for food at 9:00PM with the kitchen closing at 9:30PM. Drinksare excellent too. This place gets super busy as there?s limited other options in the area so come early. Band starts on theweekends around 7PM. Knocking down to 4 stars as the only options you have to pay when it rains is by cash out of an ATM. Read more

Decided to take my in-laws and the family out for mother's day lunch, we all started arriving one by one with our reservation... already set! Only a 45 minute wait due to how busy Mother's Day was, and while you're waiting you can enjoy walking around andlooking at the movie set of pioneertown! The scenery was absolutely Stunning. Finally getting seated everything went smoothlyfor the most part, and the food was okay seeing as it was busy and the employees were doing their best to get the food out asap.Mac and cheese was the best part of the meal. Super cool place with great food, but be prepared to wait a long time for a table and also food! Don't make my mistake and drink... too much before on an empty stomach, as the wait was loooong! But when it arrived it was so good, really tender steak and thegravy was delicious. I loved the vibe and decor, very cool and seems like a bit of a hipster place. Would love to have seen somelive music there! Really glad we went! Read more

YOU WILL WAIT OVER AN HOUR TO EAT. Now that that's out of the way, this place is great! There are a lot of fantastic bands that... play live here, which is why it's the thriving hotspot of Pioneertown -- and why it's always packed. It's first-come first-serve(no reservations) so get here an hour or two before you want to eat to put your name on the list. They won't text you, so stickaround or come back when they estimate you'll have a chance to be seated. Once inside, the atmosphere is really something. Livebands, authentic decor, and a lively crowd. The wait staff do the best they can with how busy it always is, but don't expectwhite glove service. The best thing about this place, in my opinion, is the food. We got ribs, the wagyu steak, and coleslaw andmac and cheese for sides. Everything was incredible. I actually wanted to get another steak when I was done because I justwanted to keep tasting that deliciousness. We also opted for the New York style cheesecake for dessert and although it was a bitfrozen, it came with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and was just as good as everything else we'd eaten. So in summary, gethere early and get here often! Read more

We stopped in to Pappy and Harriet?s for a quick lunch after hiking through Joshua Tree National Park. It?s a unique little... place that is about a 20 minute drive from the park entrance. It?s adjacent to a Western movie set that you can tour, or watchlive stunt shows twice a month. (Check their website) The restaurant is a local classic with rustic decor, and a menu that willsatisfy almost all palates, including vegetarian choices! It was really busy when we arrived, but the place is pretty large withlots of seating, so we were seated almost immediately. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We had a nice light lunch ofa Kale Salad, guacamole/fresh salsa and a mountain of chips, and their amazing chili nachos. The nachos were unique in how theywere prepared. We got the vegetarian chili, which was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice. Prices arereasonable, too! They have live music on a stage some nights, so check their website to see what sort of entertainment optionsmight be scheduled. A great place to stop when you are in the Joshua Tree Park area! We will most definitely go back again totry a few more things from their menu! Read more

Get the Mac&Cheese if nothing else! This location is fun, right in pioneer town. The cactus flower cocktail was delicious. The... short rack of ribs with two sides is a hardie lunch after a day of hiking. The mac&cheese is the best I've tasted in a while, don't miss that. The service is quick considering how busy they were. Would go back and highly recommend. Ask for the kids menuitems. Read more
