Cute intimate casual country Cafe. Great menu choices. I had fried chicken, yummy! Hubs had eggs, sausage gravy (very... nontraditional) and potatoes. All well seasoned. Wow! This is a wonderful dining experience tucked away (literally) in the Texas Hill country. My first visit was for dinner - I... was in every way very pleased. Glad we found this local bistro! We came from a long hike/trekking at west peak overlook. We were so tired and hungry - drove... to this place hoping that we will get a real good food. Backyard Bistro did NOT disappoint us. It was really good from maincourse to dessert. Their carrot cake was on point, not too sweet and rich with ingredients. Similar with our main course whichwas Pecan Crusted Chicken Breast and Egg? Benedict with pork butt (the specialty of the day? What a great brunch!! Our daughter says the Buttermilk fried chicken is absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed the shrimp and... grits special, it was a huge portion, perfectly buttery and well seasoned.
