My wife and I visited this restaurant that is hiding in plain sight. Let me first say that my wife and I do not eat Japanese... food often. This makes our opinion on the cuisine very limited as to how it is 'supposed' to taste. We were quickly seated withno wait time. We were a little worried when our soup and salads arrived. They were 'okay'. Nothing to brag about. Based on this,I was worried that the prices we were paying for our entrees may be extremely bloated. Our appetizer arrived, which wasdelicious. When our entrees came to the table we were pleasantly surprised with the portions and elated with the flavors. Ire-iterate that we do not know how these relate to Japanese cuisine due to our lack of experience. We, however, both loved ourentrees and were satisfied with our portions. We will definitely be back. I want to try the sushi. It has been a long time sinceI have had sushi but I wanted to have something cooked at this location first. Broth for the tempura udon was thin and not much flavor. Sushi was okay, they skimped rice. Their futomaki roll is not same as... japanese original. Update: we were really disappointed that sushi quality went down. Over priced. Servers were grumpy. Will notcoming back again. Read more

The food here was excellent! Don't be scared off by the sign outside the store front. It's definitely worth going inside. We had... several of their sushi rolls, and several appetizers. This is one of the best sushi restaurants around. After reviewing the other reviews I asked our waiter about tipping policy.... They changed their policy and employees get to keep their tips now so like feel free to tip your waiter. Back to the sushi. Thevibe is cool, the specials could be somewhere people could read them while sitting in their booth, bring your own chopsticksbecause they only provide oddly cheap and chunky chopsticks, a lot of the dishes are broken and BUT all of it is worth itbecause they have the best sushi and the best hibachi around.
