I like that the Market is close by to walk to. What I do like are the most important aspect of any business/market and that is... good customer service which requires being friendly, courteous, helpful and just feeling welcome. I do not get that from thestaff at this market. For the most part I would consider most of them on the rude side. Quite frankly most of them make me feelvery uncomfortable which is a kick in the teeth as I am most often spending quite a bit of cash at this market which isgenerally over priced. The woman in the deli today who served me was the rudest that I have come across, I did not catch hername only that she had really dark bushy black eyebrows. If I decide to ever come back to the deli I will definitely ask forsomeone else who might be less rude. The checkers are 50/50 on the rude side. The seafood meat dept have very unhappy workersand the downside of that is it comes out on the customers. The woman who took my seafood order seemed quite bothered with me forliterally waiting for her to finally ask me what I needed. As if I were annoying her. The protocol for these workers isobviously to say, "Have a nice day" without any true feeling but rather a brush off. I think for the most part I am done withcoming to this market and will instead drive further to a more friendlier market where I feel comfortable. Another note is forthis Market trying to be upscale their women's bathroom screams otherwise, as it is the filthiest most disgusting bathroom thatI have ever walked into. I have not seen a bathroom like this since I was in downtown Los Angeles and was forced to use the GasStation bathroom out of necessity and almost vomited. Went to the seafood area to buy 8oz of Halibut which was 24.00 per pound. He put a 1.25 pound piece on the scale and said ?is... that good?? I replied ? if you cut it in half ? he refused. So I left the store and purchased a piece of halibut at a competitorfor 18.00 per pound. I?ve been having issues with the meat department for these reasons, like the store and quality, but serviceand prices are not good. Read more
Staff is always friendly which is very important being a service retail oriented buisness. I've been shopping there for years... spending $$$ of dollars . My biggest complaint is the lack of cleanliness of the stores grocery carts and exterior walkways. They are beyond disgusting. Full of grime sticky film and just plain dirty. I don't see why managers of the store don't seethis. Maybe they do, nevertheless it makes the shopping experience a bit more uncertain knowing your placing all your purchasesin the cart and then bringing it into your home. Additionally the entire entrance frontage of the markets sidewalks in frontneed power washing as you enter the store. I recommend you really take a look and see what I'm talking about and visualizing.Some little attention to detail relating to appearance especially at a food market goes a long way. This store has a little bit for everyone, and a very wide selection. One of my favorite additions are the booths to eat any food... you may have purchased. They have a great deli, hot bar, cold bar, sushi, and more. Their drink selection is varied, and a wideselection of alcohol. The parking lot has plenty of parking even with all the other businesses in the area. Read more
This is an excellent store. We are vegetarian and sustainable conscious shoppers. This store has lots of options for folks like... us. The fresh salsa was spicy and we loved it. Good selection of fresh produce, bulk items, and frozen foods. That is importantfor travelers like us. We shopped here multiple times while staying at our Airbnb in Pismo Beach. The employees were nice,helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to everyone for your hospitality. Big tip there is an electric car charger in the parking lot.You might get lucky enough to charge while you shop.
