A must stop when in Pismo Beach! Make sure to get the delicious Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, get it with bacon, onions and cheese... toppings and throw some of the excellent carrot pepper hot sauce on top? so good! I stayed at a resort very close to Splash cafe for 5 days this summer and I ordered food from here every single day. These are... the dishes I ordered during my stay ( chowder everyday) Chowder: Their chowder is the best one I ever ate in my life , betterthan Boudin SF and Ivar?s(Seattle). Their sourdough bread is softer and really flavorful. 5/5 Lobster roll: It was an okayroll, and pretty big portion .4/5 Steamed clams: Excellent, really fresh and bold flavors. 5/5 Fish and chips : It?s good ,crispy and tasty 5/5 Fried clam strips and chips : So good , extremely crispy and tasty 5/5 Corn dog : My daughter loved it ,pretty good size too. 5/5 Fried calamari: Crispy and tasty 4.5/5 Well, that?s it. When I visit next time , I?m not going toorder any fries or lobster roll or fish and chips , but stick with clam chowder. Their chowder is the Bomb, and best thing I atefrom Pismo . The food here is really good value for the money! The price of the lobster roll is only $12.5 ($10.5 on the weekend). Although... the quality of the lobster is not as good as other high-end restaurants, the quantity can definitely compensate for that. Thefries and clam chowder are also quite good. After tasting other clam chowder in San Francisco, I don?t think this place has the best clam chowder in California. But it?s... still good. Everything is good here and the price is very reasonable. Staffs are friendly too. Read more
The Clam Chowder go to!!! I have been to central coast many times to visit and I have to stop here to get my chowder fix. I... regularly visit the location in Downtown SLO but this location at Pismo Beach is the Original. I always get the Clam ChowderBread Bowl and add Shrimp, clams, cheese and Bacon. So tasty!! This location has ok seating. The only bad thing is the outsideseating is positioned directly by the dumpsters. So if you choose to eat outside (like we did????) you will be wafting the fresharoma of garbage???? Besides that rough detail everything was great on our recent visit. Read more
Loved our first experience here at SPLASH. Friendly staff, fast service and DELICIOUS FOOD! Clam chowder was best in town!... Incredible! The calamari, friend shrimp, fish & chips and burger was also Incredible. ???? Also, loved the gender neutralbathrooms (x2) and the clean baby changing stations in both! Love the casual ambience of this restaurant. Pismo Beach has this ?thing? that represents the California coastal scene - Splash... makes it better and gives you a great place to stop and grab a great meal. We had the lobster roll and the cod wrap, with ashared bowl of clam chowder. All were excellent and worth the stop. Super casual interior makes for a charming and perfectseaside lunch. Read more
