My goodness what a fantastic place! We stopped in pretty late after an event at The Plant (many many others had the same idea... apparently ????) aaand these gals were crushing it! I couldn't tell they were "stretched thin" at all and we witnessed teamwork, accuracy and best of all them having fun! I can't say how much the whole team impressed us and ESPECIALLY the food, we each gota hot and a cold turkey sandwich and couldn't decide which was better we kept switching plates and fought over the last crumb???? Everything (even the sides) was so fresh and so flavorful, especially right before the kitchen closes, just amazing! Wecan't wait to go back!! Thank you so much ???????????? Read more

We were looking for something different to do on the weekend. We headed to Pittsboro and went to the City Tap. It happened to be... a quiet time around town, but we had a great time. The staff was awesome and had plenty of time to talk to us. I am not sure whywe have never been there before, but it is on our list now. Read more

In the interesting town of Pittsboro today to try one of 2 restaurants. Virlie?s, and City Tap. Heard about steak night at... Virlie?s but that?s on Friday night and they were closed for the holidays so across the street to City Tap as they were justopening for lunch. Inside dinning was open for around 6 tables, and the bar. They also have a huge covered outdoor area sogetting a table shouldn?t be a problem. Order drinks, and your food at the bar, then pick your seating. Only 2 were working thebar/kitchen area, but service was fast even though we were behind 5 groups catching opening time. I had the tuna melt, the wifehad an Italian sub that?s her vessel of choice to compare restaurants. Both served with chips or bean salad. My tuna wasdefinitely not the canned variety. Tastes of fresh tuna steak, with a touch of onions and supper melty white cheese that passedthe stretch test. The Italian was a cold sub, dressed well with all the Italian meats, red onions and lettuce, and the classicdressing to make it Italian. She liked the crusty hoagie, but prefers a toasted Italian so this didn?t make her favorite. Greatbeer on tap and wonderful service. If I didn?t live an hour away I?d be a regular. Give them a try and ask to add a fryer forsome fries and onion rings to the party. Read more

Great local beer, music, and pub food joint. Food is fresher and better than traditional pub food. The patio is spacious and... great on a nice evening. It's all covered so great in sun and rain, too! Beer list is brilliant and ever changing. Read more
