My meatball sandwich was huge, in fact best eaten with a knife and fork. The marinara sauce is VERY mild, no spice. The roll was... very soft and fresh. The ?German? potato salad was good. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended. Read more
been going here for the last 4 years but something is different in the last year. food quality is still good, but I suggest... eating in the deli rather than take out. last 2 to go orders were not right. hamburger supposed to have all vegetables with itand I get home and it's just a plain patty and bun. no condiments or vegetables at all. today I order a ham and swiss. getback to work, no swiss. not a big deal but this is twice in a row. The Mall Deli is a Pittsburg tradition with good reason. It offers first class service, food, cleanliness, and staff. I have... never received a bad meal or service at the Mall Deli in the 40 plus years I have had the pleasure to enjoy a meal there. Priceshave always been a bargain for the quality and quantity of food your receive. While they have many phenomenal sandwiches,soups, etc.; My favorite has always been the Chef Salad. An easy two meals worth of lettuce, ham, turkey, and cheese toppedwith a deviled egg half. The French Dip and other sandwiches are infamous for addictive reasons. The list is too large to posthere. Extremely fast and delicious. While you're waiting for your order there are crackers with creamy Italian dressing to snack on.... The menu has a good variety and is very affordable. My plate was clean, and they aren't small portions, so I definitely enjoyedit! Read more
I will be fair and say the food is average , portions are large and the price is right,?.However this joint needs a good deep... cleaning especially the Carpet. The carpet is actually slick in places and stinks to holy high hell ,?.the owners need to call aprofessional steam cleaner or replace the carpet . Read more
