I was not impressed. I had the opportunity to eat from their food truck, the wait was 30 minutes (& I was only 3rd in line since... he opened up), by the time I got to eat.. my lunch break was over. The chicken gyro was nothing to write home about, and thehummus was extremely bland. I honestly wanted my money back , but wasn't going to cause an issue. I also take issue with theirtip jar sign.. Visited their food truck tonight at the Newcastle fireworks event. Bought a gyro and babajanoush. They gyro was plain and... flavorless, nothing to note but the babajanoush... it tasted like burnt. Just burnt food and nothing else. Like they scrapedcrud off their dirty grill and blended it with hummus. The cost was $5 for the dip and some stale pitas bit you could not pay me$50 to eat a second bite. Read more
I've had the pizza, gyro, and a few other dishes from this place and the pizza is not their strength, but the others were great!... The dishes had delicious, large, fresh vegetables and toppings. The prices were low and the portions large. It's a shame thelocation is a bit hidden and off the beaten Semple strip. Also, the owner is incredibly nice. I order from Ash and Kris via GrubHub. My order wasn?t accepted from the restaurant till I contacted GrubHub. GrubHub actually... said the restaurant rejected the order but no one notified me and that he would cancel it and give me a $5 credit. During ourconversation my order was suddenly accepted. I let him know and said the pizza place is closed. I said well, it just updated thedelivery time. He said, do you want the pizza? I said yes. He said, is there anything else I can help you with? Then 30 minuteslater the white pizza, wings, breadsticks, baklava and chocolate cake show up. The white pizza was a solid 4.5 out of 5 Thewings were crispy but lacking the garlic parm sauce for that 3.5 The breadsticks with cheese a solid 4 The cake was a solid4. The baklava was also a solid 4. The delivery guy was super friendly (didn?t apologize) and fast. The food was awesome. Itwas almost worth the whole ordeal. Ash who is the owner is a great guy. Real family orientated and all around a good person. Best pizza spot in Oakland by far.
Great restaurant. The manager is the best. He drove me my food personally after grub hub never sent him a driver. He kept me... updated and assured that my good will be fresh after waiting an hour and half for it. I got the Cajun chicken sub. Loved it. Read more
They were the great the first time hoagie wise..second time no meat on the steak..was not reimbursed
Amazing staff and great food! Definitely worth stopping by for a late night bite. Pizza was freshly made to order and delicious.
