This place did not disappoint. Not one bit! When I arrived the gentleman that I believe runs the place was walking out the... door. He held the door open for me to enter welcoming me to his establishment. That's rare these days. The place was clean. Youcan tell they take pride in their work place. The kitchen area was equally as clean. Now onto the food. I ordered the sandwichwith #3 damn hot with coleslaw. I personally love a good coleslaw but it has to be a good one. Damn this one was good almostas good as the coleslaw my granny made. Now that sandwich. It was one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I have ever ate. Nexttime I will kick up the heat another notch. It wasn't spicy enough for me but it was still delicious. If you're thinking abouttrying this place don't wait. It is well worth the calories. I will be back. Thanks for a delicious meal! Read more

I loved this place... but I can not order from here anymore. First, if you order curbside, don't expect it. Their voicemail box... is full, no one answers, and you have to go and find a parking spot to go in. What's the point of the option. If you go togrubhub or doordash- the prices are more than if you were to pick it up--- anywhere from $.05 for a condiment-$2.00 for a meal. The food is decent however we ordered a 12 piece nugget and got a 6. We spent almost $50 for three people to eat and it wasABSOLUTELY not worth it. Soggy paper containers had one order of nuggets all over the bag as it was completely ripped through.Sadly, this was a go to for my co workers and I- not anymore. Read more

Finally got a chance to stop here. Ordered nuggets, fish combo and a deluxe chicken sandwich to go. Got the level 1 oil and... seasoning on the side. Turned the air fryer on when we got them home, mixed the seasoning and oil and added it to the sandwich, dropped both sandwiches in the air fryer for an extra crunch and the sandwiches were very, very good. Glad we had a chance tostop here to sample some items. No parking but found a spot around the corner on the street. Some seating available inside. Read more

Chicken Great - Staff quite rude Came here twice while I was in Pittsburg, level 4 was perfect for my desired spice. First time... was during the day and went smoothly. Second time was a few days later and in the evening. Probably waited 20 minutes at-leastbefore getting my order, while it wasn?t even busy. Gave me attitude when I asked about it after 15 minutes. If I could give zero stars I would. My sister in law ordered delivery from this place while I was in town. I was excited to try... it as there are no locations near where I live. We ordered at peak dinner time-around 6pm. The food was disgusting. The chickentasted like it had been left out all day and then microwaved. Total rubber. The cheese on the sandwich was not even melted. I'mnot exaggerating when I say the sandwich was inedible. The fries were cold, bland, and stale. I was starving and ended up havingto throw the whole meal away. I'll gladly stick to Chik Fil A and Canes from now on .... Read more

I've been coming to this place for years. They got started 4 or 5 years ago. At the start, they were *very* good. I'd eat there... probably once a week. The sandwiches were delicious, and everything was always perfectly cooked. At that time, it was by far thebest chicken sandwich in pittsburgh. Unfortunately, things started to become rough a couple years ago, around the time of thepandemic and when the restaurant expanded to open up another location. The quality has taken a sharp dive and is reallyinconsistent. Since the owner (I think) seems to have decided to spend all his time at the other location, this one has reallygone downhill. You can expect a mushy bun, undercooked and lukewarm fries, hilariously small chicken patties, inconsistent spicelevels, long wait times, and pretty bad service about half the time now. Make sure to check your bag before you leave, becauseI?d say it?s only about 50/50 whether it will contain everything you ordered. I wish they'd return to their 2018 glory. I'm notsure if the pandemic really did a number on the quality of available ingredients or if the quality started dropping onceattention was split between this location and the newer one on the south side or something else. Regardless, it ain't the samethat it used to be. If you want a chicken sandwich, you can definitely do better now -- go to Chikn in Oakland, Coop De Villein the Strip, or Fireside by Target in East Liberty. Honestly, I'd take KFC over Bird on the Run at this point, just because atKFC the quality is consistent, even if it isn't great. Read more

We only tried the strips and waffle fries - will have to go back for the beignets! All were quite good and very fresh.. The... chicken was maybe a little too fresh, as it was dripping in scalding hot oil that soaked the bag and made it hard to eat for afew minutes.. But it was very crisp and tender nonetheless. We were initially nervous about their spice rankings because of thenames (and based on our experience at Chikn), but found a 2 here to be more of a 1. It might just depend on who is working thatday. Main complaint was that the tables inside were super sticky, like the wood finish got messed up with cleaning products. Read more

Great little spot for fast and delicious chicken. The spice levels get hot in a hurry. So be prepared if you?re someone who... doesn?t like super spicy food. But it?s always delicious. Read more
